AAU Trip I brought my team to Dallas and booked 8 rooms. The Front Desk was awesome. Sarah Aqui was beyond professional and so was her assistant. They had my rooms ready when we arrived. The rooms were clean and roomy! I would stay there again and again.

Grumpy Old Men No hospitality whatsoever! The older gentlemen who checked us in was not friendly. I asked for a place to eat nearby and he replied " up the street" There was a different old man in the morning when checking out and I asked him if there was coffee creamer and he just pointed ....kind of like a toddler who can't quite pronounce words yet. The only friendly staff member was the over night front desk agent. I do not recommend this property based on customer service alone.

Horrible Management I am a fairly frequent guest at Marriott properties. I tend to prefer the level of care taken to ensure the customer is satisfied when staying at Marriott properties. For these reasons, I was shocked at the lack of compassion and understanding displayed by the manager, "C" at the Dallas Market Center Marrott in Dallas, TX when I was in the middle of a family emergency.  The Dallas Market Center Marriott is located within walking distance of Children's Medical Center Emergency room. On Sunday, May 25, 2021, my 11 yr old nephew fractured his skull and was transported 200 miles by helicopter in an attempt to save his life. My family drove 2 hours to be with him. I was more than relieved to see a Marriott property so close. I went to the front desk and made a reservation for one night because I figured someone would need a bed to sleep in for the night. However, my nephew's status was very critical, and none of us wanted to leave the hospital. We all slept in our cars or in the waiting room in the parking garage facility. The room for which I paid full price for was never used. We never even set foot on the property. The manager advised that the room could have been sold to someone else, so I would not get any money credited. The problem I have with that reasoning is that I made the reservation around 1 or 2 am for one night, which meant that we wouldn't have the room for a usual full stay with check-out at 11am. Secondly, the hotel was not fully booked as I asked the front desk guy if additional rooms were available, just in case other family arrived. Which would have resulted in additional profit for the hotel. And although there were other less expensive hotels available nearby, I felt better putting my family in a hotel I trusted. While I understand the need to make a profit, I also see the need to be an actual living, breathing, thinking, person above being a salesman. The situation of a child being so close to death that no family member wants to chance leaving the hospital isn't a common circumstance and should not be dismissed as such. The manager of the property didn't even bother to call me himself to discuss the situation, but gave the task to a desk agent.  I actually choose to stay with Marriott on a regular basis and have upcoming bookings for May 2nd at The Renaissance and May 8th at Dallas Marriott Downtown. I will be cancelling and never using Marriott in the future. As an auditor, I travel for work and will no longer use Marriott. I will also be sure to pass the details of this experience on to family, friends, and colleagues. I am greatly disappointed by this display of greediness from such an established hotel brand.

Not sure I’ll be back I stayed here for multiple reasons this week. I was looking for a quick self care staycation. It’s also right across from my job so quick commute to work, then of course Texas weather decided to get super cold and we had ice. The front desk staff was NOT pleasant. They hardly acknowledge or look up to speak. A head nod or hello, good evening etc goes a long way. I enjoyed the suite itself and it was very clean for the most part. Housekeeping came on day 3 and made up my room, they took my dirty towels but didn’t replace them soooo that was an inconvenience. The parking is $24 a night and I had issues multiple times with my key card working at the gate. The most frustrating part of this entire stay was that the power in the hotel went out my last night there on 2/10/21. It cut back on around 3am the next morning. The elevators were off I had to climb the stairs.. 8 flights, Television and half the lights in the suite as well as the air in our room. I think this was related to the cold weather I went down to the front desk and as to be expected staff was rude when I inquired about what was going on. With so many hotel options in the downtown/ medical district area... I won’t be returning. Beautiful hotel though too many issues.

Rock n Rock LOUD LOUD LOUD Highway noise ALL night. Doors slam. So you hear the doors slamming all night. Don’t be fooled by the cheaper rate. They get it back with $24/parking in a open unsecured lot. You have to buzz in so that should tell you something about your vehicle.
