Beyond Gorgeous Resort This was our first time at this beautiful resort and we were beyond impressed! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous we have enjoyed numerous resorts and this was over the top beautiful! The restaurant bartenders were exceptional thank you so much!!!We have our next stay scheduled and can’t wait to get back!

Decent hotel , few minor issues Just stayed with family for the weekend . Overall nice hotel and especially good for families. Excellent amenities for kids and couples. The splash pad and kids activities were terrific. Amenities include Kiddy pool, kids club, putting green, cornhole, ping pong and even water balloons the day we were there! The staff was mostly good. One of the pool bartenders had a personality problem, but, besides him everyone was friendly. Doheny state beach is within walking distance . There is also a park across the street. Room was pretty typical for a Marriott . Highly recommend you get one with a balcony or patio . Our bed did have a creaky and stiff mattress . The cleaning was so so but updated walk in shower . Good choice if traveling with kids.

Beautiful hotel! Amazing views! Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful hotel and location! Lu Duffy was so nice at check in and really set my entire trip up for success. The grounds are beautiful and can’t wait to come back. The bikes and all the other amenities were so much fun and definitely has an amazing view of the water.

Family Trip Beautiful resort - perfect for families OR couples, which I find is often hard to find. Our kids enjoyed the DelMar pool area - in addition to the pool, it features a large baby pool, and a splash pad with attached surf boards for the kids to play on. There is also a small putting range and table tennis. The pool loungers are extremely comfortable, and there is poolside service for food/drinks. If you prefer a quieter pool scene, there is an additional pool deck located on property. Since we were traveling with kids, we also appreciated the kids club. Thanks to Annie for keeping our kids occupied with crafts and games while we enjoyed some quiet time! This resort was just what we were looking for - kid friendly enough so they don't get bored, but still relaxing, quiet, and refined enough for the adults to enjoy themselves. We were blown away with the service at this resort - starting with the valet, check-in process, housekeeping - poolside service - everyone was welcoming, an attentive to our every need. Location is fabulous - we spent our days on the resort, then took a short walk (5-10mins on paved trail/sidewalk) to the harbor area for happy hours. We also spent a day at Baby Beach and Ocean Institute, which can easily be reached by foot. The resort does offer beach equipment. We look forward to visiting again, soon!

Beautiful view, however.. Overall, I would give the Marriott at Laguna Cliffs a great rating. The property was clean, updated (rooms as well) and had beautiful views. We stayed 4 nights here for a business trip mixed with some vacationing. The place was like a ghost town, it seemed there was barely anyone else staying here the second week of May 2021. We had the pool and hot tub pretty much to ourselves. The valet was quick with awesome service. We are Bonvoy members and only stay at Marriott hotels and have come to expect a comfortable experience with them. With that being said, we booked an ocean view room with 2 double beds and a balcony. The beds were TERRIBLE and the pillows were just as bad (flat with no support), I could not even believe the poor quality with these. We have never experienced this at a Marriott. We are not ones to complain so we just dealt with it and didn’t get a good nights rest any of the nights we were there which is hard when traveling with a big time change. The only other big disappointment was the water in the shower. The pressure was great and the bathroom was clean and updated, however after getting out of the shower, both my sister and I felt like our hair had a weird residue left in it and we could not get it to rinse clean. We were left with dirty feeling hair the entire time we were there. I am not sure what to say about the bad experiences here as this is not like Marriott AT ALL, but considering the price of the hotel, unfortunately these cons outweighed the pros.
