Here we stay again! We have stayed here quite a few times. We were coming from a cruise in Miami and had our daughter drop us off on her way back to Jacksonville. Therefore, we got in quite early. They had a suite available early and voila in we went. Since we have had in the past had to "hunker" down in the lobby or at the pool, this was wonderful! Thanks to the hotel front desk staff! Also, we took the shuttle the next morning to the airport.....right on time...the driver was courteous and kind.

Could be better We chose Homewood Suites because we have stayed at their other locations around Florida. This one needs some work. In the hallways, the carpet is old and stained and needed to be vacuumed on the two days we were there. The loveseat in our room had frayed cushions that were stretched and threadbare. The sheets and bedding were clean and in good shape. We checked in online and stopped at the desk to pick up keys. We were not given the room we had selected online. We were not offered water or snacks even though we are diamond members. The breakfast buffet was not good. I am not a coffee snob, but theirs was awful. There was one waffle maker. Bagels and bread were offered, but no muffins, biscuits, or danish. Hot foods- scrambled eggs and potatoes both days and different sausage each day. Only thin white paper plates so you had to layer two or three to support the weight of food. (There is a Wendy’s and a Dunkin’ donuts in front of the hotel. ) The pool area was nice but had to go to the desk inside to ask for a towel. Overall, it was acceptable but I expected better.

Do not stay! So this hotel is terrible! The A/C didn’t work any where in the hotel! In June!!! Complained to front desk about it, someone came and “fixed it” but still didn’t work. There is no coffee through out the day, only during breakfast. The hotel is very OLD! Pool was dirty and the carpets are stained everywhere.. I will never stay at this hotel and maybe it’s time for me to change my loyalty to another hotel chain. All the Hilton hotels are becoming out dated and old. Getting back to this hotel, like I said if I wasn’t staying only one night I would have left.

Never ever coming back !! I stayed in Homewood suite by Hilton for 2 nights in April before we went on the cruise ship on Monday. I’m a Hilton Honor’s member for 7yrs, we’ve always stayed one of Hilton for my family vacation, Hampton Inn, hilton garden in and double tree etc… I’ve been very happy with all my stays with Hilton all this years except this time. My room was in As soon as we walked in the room , the unit smelled like old room with old carpet. I turned AC on high to refresh it , thought it can be just Florida humid air. Nope it didn’t go away until we left. There was one sofa bed so dirty and old , I couldn’t believe my eyes how dirty it was. We put bed sheets over to sit on. Bedroom facet was broken , turning more than 360dgree_ I went down to Desk and complained, of course there was no other rooms available. They came up fix the shower faucet and gave me more sheets and blankets(because I complained that sheets and blankets were not white and clean) which were cleaner than what we had on our bed. Why couldn’t we have nicer bedding already?? No answer for that…. They couldn’t accommodate us at all for 2nights of staying, I just couldn’t wait till my departure day to cruise. It was horrendous experience I ever had. Do Not Stay here !!! Oh another thing, they offered you a shuttle to the Port?? They charge you $20 per person!! I took Uber for 5of us for $23 ! Cheaper !!!

Don't Stay Here... Terrible experience from beginning to end. We stayed one night and will never stay there again. There are so many things that gave this place a one star. I would give it a zero if there was an option. 1. The driver, Luis, was in a terrible mood. He didn’t greet us and when we offered to help load the luggage, he bluntly told us to get in the van. He was cursing, honking his horn, and driving dangerously. It was scary for the lady in the front and for my family who were sitting in the second and third rows. We were all concerned and looked at each other as to what to do, especially since we had our two year old granddaughter with us. The lady upfront took initiative and asked him nicely to drive safely. He responded by telling her to be quiet, that he’s been driving for 34 years and doesn’t need her to tell him how to drive. She responded that she’s concerned about her life. He then angrily responded by saying “my life is more important then everyone's lives here” so he would not do anything to harm his life! She tried to calm him down, never once raising her voice. Meanwhile, he continued to yell at her to shut up and eventually pulled over, got out, open the lady’s door and asked the lady to get out of the van. When she refused, he opened the sliding door, told us he could not drive with her in the car, closed the door and got on the phone. Meanwhile, we sat in the van not knowing what was going to happen. We were not in a location they we can catch another form of transportation. Luis was so agitated that he kept pacing back and forth angrily. We felt very uncomfortable approaching him since he was so easily offended earlier. After waiting without an update, we called the hotel to inform them of the situation. Asked that they ask him to drive us to the hotel in a safe manner or get us a driver that was not angry. Eventually, they sent another driver that was friendly and drove carefully. Later, I overheard him explain to the front office staff what happened in Spanish. His story was so one sided. He complained about the lady on how she would not stop talking even though he repeatedly asked her to. Of course he never mentioned how erratic he was driving and how he was scaring his passengers. The ride should be about how safe and welcomed he makes the passengers feel. Many of us have been driving more than 34 years and we can recognize when someone is driving erratically and irrationally. Even though the hotel contracted the rides to a third party, the driver is a representation of their hotel’s standards. The hotel didn’t even give us a contact to file a complaint against the driver. Most importantly, they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and the terrible experience. It was apparent that they didn’t care. 2. We stayed at a 2 bedroom with 3 beds suite for 6 people. Check in was easy; however, the lady there gave us 2 bottled waters and two Milano cookies in a bag. When I told the lady there were 6 of us, she didn’t say anything, just turned around and gave me 4 more bottles. When I asked about the cookies, she blankly told me they ran out. She did not offer a bag for the other 4 bottles. 3. Their breakfast buffet does not cater to any allergies, especially dairy. Everything they make has dairy, except for bagels and fruit. No milk alternatives are available. 4. The bathtub didn’t drain well, which the cleaning crew should have noticed when they clean the bathtub. Made us wonder if the cleaning crew even cleaned the rooms properly. 5. Even thought he airport is close, they leave only on the hour. Therefore, we had to get an uber to make it to the airport.
