Airshow weekend First off the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had issues with our Airbnb and the staff here was tremendous at getting us accommodated. Clean rooms, bathrooms a little out dated but very tidy. There is a park right next door with live music. Great Visit

Original Lakeside ! The “ Land of Funk” The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. My special thanks to Eileen, she was so warm and professional. She treated my friends and family with great kindness .in addition the restaurant staff was also very friendly . A special thanks to Jerad ( manager) and his wife Deanasia ( restaurant bar tender & server) . They both worked extremely hard during a busy weekend, while maintaining professionalism Excellent service !! Nice hotel , beautiful roof top dining .

HOSPITALITY AT ITS FINEST Great HOSPITALITY across the board! Such lovely people. Hotel itself is dated, but very kept up. Rooftop restaurant has great views, downtown Dayton is very pretty. Got to watch a concert from our window. Only stayed one night, passing through. Reasonable price.

Needs to up its Game The newly named (but not renovated) Radisson lives and dies by the Convention Center. Their proximity is the only reason to stay here. Everything looks and feels shabby. Remarkably, there is no breakfast or lunch served, and there are no dinners served unless a major convention is in town. You have to use the Convention Center parking garage and get your ticket validated every time you want to use your car. But its cheap and the shower water is hot. The staff is very nice and professional, and apologize profusely for the conditions of the place.

Probably Awesome in its heyday but barely acceptable now This is now a reflagged Radisson Hotel now but recently was known as the Crowne Plaza and was likely something else before that. The hotel is connected by skyway to both an easy parking ramp and the Convention Center. If you are coming here for a convention, this would be an acceptable place to stay if you are willing to live with a lot of shortcomings. If you are here for any other reason, it might be best to go to a newer nicer hotel. The hotel is made in a unique double rectangle that is off set so there are lots of corner rooms and in our stay we got a pretty good room on the top floor in a corner unit so the view was great. The room was a little larger than I was expecting and the view was indeed excellent. However, the hotel is likely a Radisson now because the quality had degraded enough that it may have lost its Crowne Plaza flag. The hotel badly needs a renovation. They haven't even covered/replaced all the things that still say Crowne Plaza and it appears as if the new owners/managers don't care about that. While the sleeping room is more spacious, the bathroom was not. It was small and cramped yet functional. The toilet didnt quite flush all the way and the shower worked well enough for a hot shower with a somewhat weaker flow than most hotels have. The furnishings were a bit dated and worn as was the carpet. The beds were quite firm and need replacing. The WiFi worked well and there were plenty of outlets to recharge everything. The room temperature was controlled at the actual unit and not the wall controller (which appeared to be powered off). Parking is free but it is at a ramp across the street and you have to walk across a skyway to get into the hotel. Which brings me to the most significant concern with this property....its location. I'm sure back in the day, this hotel was a great place and much of downtown was busy, bustling and thriving. But those days were apparently long ago. This part of downtown hasn't had the same renaissance that many downtowns have had. Directly across the street from the hotel are several large vacant buildings where nothing is being done to renovate them. So while there is a great view of downtown from the upper floors most of what you see are empty vacant old buildings. If the downtown ever comes back, this would be a great place to stay but for now it is a somewhat acceptable choice if you have a convention next door. There is no daily housekeeping (unless you ask ahead of time) and there doesn't appear to be many places nearby to safely go to eat if you have to walk.
