Kress Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection

Wouldn't stay anywhere else This is a small and clean, clean, clean hotel. This is the only place I would stay in the area because it was so clean and the staff was great. I had to call the front desk because the extra lock at the top of the door was installed incorrectly and didn't line up so it was useless. The employee who came to help me in my room was so professional and accommodating. She said no one had ever called about it before. She got me those door stops to help me secure the door along with the deadbolt. Just check your extra lock in your room to make sure it works.

Very well-kept delightful property While properties in the Choice family can be all over the scale, this one is a very well-run property. Situated next to St. Norbert College (a small college that owns/operates the Inn), this 45-room inn is well cared for. The upkeep is excellent even though the rooms are a bit dated. Since it caters to college visitors and families of students, you have to be mindful of college events that may spike rates and occupancy. I happened to visit during an autumn week that didn't have any events going on. I was welcomed warmly at check-in and received an unprompted upgrade to the executive suite (Suite 300). It has a fireplace, hot tub, sofa, sink outside the bathroom, and was overall huge for a solo traveler. A special mention for the cleanliness is in order: the housekeeping staff are doing an excellent job each and every day! The staff are all friendly, upbeat, and devoted to customer care. Property maintenance is not deferred - things are getting done here. The location is quiet, safe, and visually charming. Guests can take walks through the campus and to the riverfront without fear. Some parking is around the Inn but a large free parking lot is across the very quiet street. The morning breakfast buffet was ample but largely the same for all 3 days of my stay. At checkout, the young college student was a pleasure to chat with and she was gracious to field my request for additional shower caps (for my mother). I can only wish that ALL of the other Choice properties were as good as this one. I'd love to come back here on a future visit since this is money well spent. a wonderful find: will never stay anywhere else in green bay A friend recommended this small collegiate inn for a recent 4-night stay, and I was delighted with every aspect of the place, its rooms, the hot breakfast, the free shuttle to and from the airport, the invariably friendly, helpful, courteous staff. I needed to work on site, and the desk in my room was remarkably generous, a wide wraparound desk in a bay window, good light. Free cookies at the front desk, wine and cheese laid out in the afternoon. Room was quiet, scrupulously clean, attractively and cozily furnished, and wonderfully comfortable, with a recliner chair with a good lamp in addition to the desk. A terrific stay on all counts. Plus a great location, lots of cafes and shops within easy walking distance. Will come back!

Luxury That Doesn't Break the Bank Amazing. The room was BIG. I also had two bathroom sinks to use! Very comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. I can't believe how little I paid per night, but I got a great deal through Erik at District 82 nearby. This will be my go-to every time I'm in De Pere.

Accomodations Staff is/ was exceptional! Beyond our needs and expectations. From the management to housekeeping! Kress Inn is our home away from home! Thanks to all of you, for your help& generosity. We will be back as always.
