BED BUGS I was in town for a conference and booked this hotel as a second location for family. There were 3 people in the room, which is what I indicated upon reserving the room. When I arrived to help get them checked in--it was a little sketchy, but we pushed forward. We aren't too proud to stay in a place with a little age or character.... There were two individuals at the front desk. One glanced down at the room number we were getting ready to check in to and told their colleague that this particular room was dirty. This was at 5:00 pm on a Monday, mind you. They gave us a different room, so we went up. The hallways reeked of marijuana, but when we went into the room, it was generally clean and smelled nice. The family really liked the pool as well and said there was a decent breakfast. However, on Wednesday morning, I received several frantic calls from my family that they were covered in bites and had physically seen 4 bed bugs. FOUR DIFFERENT FULLY GROWN BED BUGS in their bed. They called the front desk at 4am when they'd discovered them and reported it. They were then told that they could be moved but would have to wait until housekeeping arrived after 6am. They asked for a large garbage sack to put their clothing in while they waited, and were told "we don't have trash bags, but we'll reimburse you if you want to go buy some." WHAT?! I booked through a third party, so I knew a refund was not going to be immediate and hadn't mentioned it. But I called the hotel and was told that the manager would call me back. I left my number, but there was no call back. I waited patiently--and it's been more than a week. I called the corporate offices for the hotel. I got some "sorry for your experience, but you need to call the hotel. Still no call back. I guess it's a lesson learned for Choice Properties, and especially for this site in Denver, particularly the third floor room with the bed bug infestation. You'll know it by the 37 children's stickers that are all over the room window.

**SAFETY ALERT: VEHICLE THEFT*** **Safety Alert: Vehicle Theft Incident** Our truck was stolen from the hotel parking lot facing the front desk. Despite the location's visibility, thieves seem emboldened to target vehicles here. The police informed us that vehicle thefts occur frequently at this site, exacerbated by the hotel's inadequate surveillance—a single low-quality camera at the front. When we approached the staff and manager, they declined to review the footage for us. We had booked a room for three days but sought to cancel early due to the felony theft incident. The manager initially appeared cooperative in facilitating our cancellation, but the third-party booking service we used encountered resistance from the hotel. After contacting my credit card company, they managed to negotiate with the booking agency to cancel our reservation, pending the manager's approval. Despite this, when I approached the manager with the credit card company on the line, she refused to cooperate and give her consent over the phone. While we understand that the hotel may not be liable for theft, their failure to implement basic security measures despite recurring incidents and their uncooperative stance with affected guests is deeply concerning. We regret not researching more thoroughly, as other reviews indicate similar experiences of theft in the parking lot and lack of assistance from the hotel management.

Do not stay here I’m have no idea why this hotel is rated a 4 on TripAdvisor; it should be be a zero. The first room my sister and I received was utterly disgusting. I will include photos if I am able. I always check the mattresses for bed bugs. When I peeled off the bed sheet and mattress cover, I was horrified. Extremely stained. I almost barfed. The walls of the room were filthy, the lampshades shredded, waxy purple goop stuck to bathroom door. My sister asked for a new room and they switched us. It was much better, but not perfect. This second room had Christmas stickers on the windows. I wondered if this place was once used as a homeless shelter or something similar. Under the remote control was a message, REDRUM, I’m not kidding. If your not familiar with Stephen King’s The Shining, REDRUM is murder backwards. I suppose $150 per night in Denver doesn’t get you much. The only positive was they had a decent free breakfast spread. We were a bit scared to eat though.

Gross. Bad. Bad. Bad. Absolutely disgusting. This hotel was the pits. After staying here I was scarred to stay at any other Comfort Inn. I took my chances and stayed at two other properties and they were great! The complete opposite of this place. This property specifically was so dirty I cannot even describe. It was very run down. It smelled of mold. Chipped paint everywhere, walls and floors literally had grim and some other gunk all over it. The rooms were just as bad. Smelled of chemicals. The sheets were dirty. The bathroom was so gross I wouldn’t even take a shower in it. Oh and the pool was blocked off and green. Just gross. Homeless and crackheads walking all around the property. I was nervous about parking my car. Choice hotels needs to seriously check this property. I will say the people at the front desk are very friendly. The general manager could care less. The location is also out In the middle of nowhere. There’s no stores or anything around. Choose any hotel but this one.

Terrible Customer service and unhelpful and unfriendly Manager Angela. We were forced to leave hotel and lose 4 paid hotel nights due to an error with the booking information, although we had already been in hotel for 2 nights with 2 rooms. We had used Priceline to book our reservation and due to a flight cancel we contacted the hotel and the allowed us to move the arrival date back one day when our flight arrived. After arrival we did an extension through Priceline for an additional 2 nights for both rooms, but the site changed the arrival date of the extension to the original check out date and not the updated departure date of Friday, so on Thursday night they changed our booking to a no show and then canceled the entire reservation and took all the money for both nights for both rooms. When discussed with Angela the Manager she was completely unwilling to offer a reinstatement for Thursday night and just move the reservation to fri and sat night like it was supposed to be. Instead she rudely made us either leave or book again. She didn’t even offer to meet halfway and allow us to take a loss for the one night and allow our rooms to stay on the already paid for Friday night. I have worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years and have had similar situations and would never even consider not offering to help guests with a simple error of this type, that is what customer service is all about. I refuse to ever bring any business to this establishment as long as it is under management of this poor caliber. Priceline customer service called in my regard since I am a VIP with them and they got no where with this manager and said she was completely unwilling to try to work for a simple resolution. She says she has been in the industry for over 30 years, I would suggest its probably time for retirement as she has lost the meaning of customer service..
