If this hotel weren’t in such a sketchy area it wouldn’t be as bad…. Stay was so-so… The staff was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to a lot of area attractions, however the area is very sketchy to say the least. Lots of homeless people, and they were sometimes outside on hotel property. I was traveling alone with my daughter and we were approached multiple times which made me uncomfortable. One of the nights we were there we were woken up to a woman fighting with someone outside, in the parking lot. The hotel itself is okay. The lobby area is pretty nice, although it gets very hot. The rooms and beds were okay, but the carpet is gross and dirty, with lots of questionable stains. The restaurant and bar area were nice and the food was very good and so were the drinks. The pool/hot tub are gross. Dirty, broken furniture and lots of bugs in the pool… We were there for a week, at the beginning of our stay I was trying to find a new place to stay due to all the above mentioned items, but by the end I realized it wasn’t too bad. Would I ever stay there again? Absolutely not… but it wasn’t as terrible as the first impression…

Was NOT Customer Service for bad review As a platinum member and frequent IHG traveler, this was the absolute worse hotel I have stayed in. I want to be clear, the customer service was excellent and not the reason for my bad review. I checked in for a three night business stay. The first day was 90’degrees outside and my room was 80. The AC would not adjust. I spent 4 hours in the sweltering heat before I called maintenance to fix which by some miracle, they did. The room was shattered with stains all over the carpet but clean. The third night was a nightmare. Someone came in at 3am with no regard to noise. It got worse when i came back for the day to a party on the opposite side of me. That is when I called front desk and demanded a room change which they promptly responded to and gave me another room. The room on the opposite side (non Quebec Road side) was totally different. Clean, no stains on carpet, newer furniture and peaceful. Um duh. Why am I a platinum member if you didnt automatically put me here? NEVER AGAIN. Do NOT book here! This hotel is crap!

Oh My God, Never Again, Stay Away First I want to give KUDOS the Maintenance Team who swapped out the Defective Air Conditioner in our room. They pulled it off in record time (Less than 45 Minutes) and did a very Professional job. Good Job Guys! Now, let’s talk about Expectations verses Reality. When I travel and choose a particular Hotel Brand, I expect, at the Absolute Least, to be as Comfortable, or Better, as I am in my Own Surroundings. I spend considerable time on my Hotel Selection and most often stay with Brands I have patronized in the past. My Experience guides my choices. After all, traveling is a chore, and the last thing one anticipates is Substandard Accommodations or Poor Service when previous experience has been pleasing. The Room and Lobby was Clean. But, and this is a BIG But, the lobby was at least 85 Degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature in our Hotel Room exceeded 90 Degrees Fahrenheit. After the Air Conditioner was replaced we managed to get the Room Temp down to 79 Degrees Fahrenheit. Outside Temps were 100 Degrees Plus. The side of the Hotel that faces Down Town Denver receives Punishing Sunlight making the Balcony Unusable in this kind of heat. The Air Conditioning Units are simply not designed to counter that type of heat. I had hoped that with the last renovation, this shortcoming in design would have been addressed. Leaving the room after it had cooled to 79 degrees was shocking. When opening the door it felt like entering an oven. The rest of the renovation looked great. The sliding Glass door rollers were broken. The Rollers on the bottom of the door were damaged, and so it took great effort to open it. This is a Key Feature I look for as I am an amateur photographer and take photographs of the Denver Skyline. The restaurant was nominal at best, with the exception of NO Decaffeinated Teas or Coffees, the food was nothing to brag about. Seems the Health Conscious Coloradans take a back seat here when it comes to Decaf. We tried the buffet and were somewhat disappointed with the minimal selection and overcooked sausages. We paid for breakfast when making our reservations. When we arrived at the Restaurant for breakfast, we were sent back to the Check-in desk where I got to stand in line for another 20 minutes to acquire the correct documentation. Total time for that breakfast was an hour and fifteen minutes. Bottom line, I cannot recommend this Hotel any longer, and it is doubtful they will see us again.

AC has been broken for months AC has been broken in the lobby/restaurant and gym for literally months - I came in late May/early June and it was broken and just went back and was shocked to see they still hadn’t bothered to fix it. Gym is completely unusable without AC in the 95 degree summer heat - literally a sauna in there and they can’t seriously expect it to be used. When I was there in early June they said they had people coming that day to give quotes for the AC but maybe it’s something they don’t want to spend $ on because I can’t imagine it would take this long. Now they have these gigantic unsightly black machines in the lobby that look like temporary solution but I’m honestly baffled why they wouldn’t prioritize fixing the AC in the lobby when Denver has been 90+ most of the summer. and to not have AC in the gym in this heat means you might as well say you don’t have a gym. At bare minimum I would have expected them to fix that by now. Not sure if it’s crazy cost cutting or what as no other reason not to have it. I saw someone else mention it in a review and the manager response didn’t even assure him/her it was being fixed.

Nice property, extremly inconvenient to get to your guest rooms and staff constantly hogging elevators While the hotel it self was nice, the house keeping staff makes navigating around one of the most annoying places to stay. The only way to access guest rooms is via 2 elevators that are constantly filled with house keepers who ride them down to the lobby just to go up to other floors…. So you stand around 10-15 waiting for an elevator to finally show up just for it to be full of staff that were to impatient to wait for the elevator going in the direction they needed and now you have a lobby full of aggravated guest standing around another 10 minutes waiting for an elevator. Staff shouldn’t be going out of their way to inconvenience guest especially with the only way they have to access the guest room floors since there are no stairs on property to go up to the floors
