Not a relaxing hotel ... The receptionist wasn’t at all happy but got checked in okay. The room was adequate, pretty old fashioned. Biggest problem was the wifi didn’t work, which was a real pain. And the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Unfortunately some guests decided to have a big argument in the hallway, which didn’t aid a restful night. Prices are good, but our stay wasn’t the best.

Feels dated. The good parts first: The location was great - on a quiet road, within 5 minutes walk of the marina, fishing pier, a park and a trailhead that runs along the side of Puget sound. Within walking distance of a couple of places to eat and within driving distance of plenty more. Parking was free (I know this is expected in most places in the US but it's always worth pointing out). The sound of planes leaving Seattle airport was distant but constant, but not distracting or loud enough to prevent sleep. Our room faced Puget sound - away from the flightpath - so that definitely helps. The bed was plenty comfortable and the bed linens were clean and fresh and to be honest, as an overnight stop, that's really the most important thing. Now on to the subjective things (and please read to the end because I know you'll read this and think "heck - I've seen these in many hotels"): The whole place felt a little run-down. It was clean, but not "clean". You know what I mean? Some corners looked like they'd not seen a mop in years while other areas were clearly freshly vacuumed or cleaned that day. The toilet in our room wouldn't stop running unless we removed the tank top and manually seated the flapper valve (honestly it was less hassle than trying to get maintenance to come and change an entire toilet valve but I did tell the front desk). The plug in the bathroom sink wouldn't hold water in, and the drain in the bathtub under the shower was so slow that you end up standing in about 10cm of water after a shower. It did drain eventually. The outside part of the AC unit in our room was right over the hotel dumpster so we couldn't use it without filling the room with the smell of waste (yes - this is VERY specific to room 120 but maybe don't design the hotel so ANY of the AC units are right over the dumpster?). The TV had no audio until I fiddled with the cables (unplugged and re-plugged). The room amenities were OK but nothing to write home about. The room itself was quite large with plenty of space but the bathroom was quite cramped. Breakfast was a bit weird. A toaster but no bread. Pre-packed pastries in individually-wrapped plastic wrappers, a bowl of fruit and a waffle-maker. No cereals. No fruit juice. No milk. There were yogurts in the fridge. No hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage etc). One objective issue: The wall sockets in our room were ALL loose - nothing would stay plugged-in without having something holding the plug in, like wedging a suitcase against it. This is actually dangerous. I did tell the front desk about this too, when checking out, but I'm not sure the lady cared. She seemed more concerned about me putting the key card in the drop box and it didn't feel like she was listening to what I was telling her. These are a lot of small issues that - individually - I wouldn't normally care about. Individually, I've seen every one of these issues in hotels and motels all over the world. But as they all occurred in this one hotel together, they painted a picture of a place that just felt a bit "run down". Was it "a bad hotel"? No, not really. Would I stay there again? Honestly, probably not. I've stayed in far worse places for sure, but I've also stayed in far better places for the same price point. If this hotel was a school student, it would get a "B+ must try harder"

Poor Customer Service with Reservations Not helpful for groups of travelers. Called to reserve a block of about 10 rooms for 6 weeks in advance (non-peak season). Was told it was best to send request in e-mail. Several days later, heard back that they didn't have 10 rooms, without any specifics of how many were available. Looking online, it appeared that several rooms had been booked while I was waiting for a reply. Front desk reservations didn't seem to care. With that attitude, I guess our group needs to stay elsewhere…

I’ve been charged twice and they’re not responding. The stay was as expected but they charged my card twice. I’ve emailed twice with no response. Having said that, the location is good, the price is worth it if they only charge you once. There is a great choice for food. The Creek Trail is a great walk.
