Very Affordable for Movement Festival Detroit We were staying here last minute during Movement Festival during Memorial Day Weekend. Clean hotel, the different receptionists were very sweet and helpful. The breakfast was very convenient and original. The room was very cheap compared to other hotels ($180 a night versus $300-$500 a night) There was a shuttle going to and from the festival, with 2 amazing drivers that gave us the best service and they have our loyalty we will definitely be back. These drivers gave us their phone number and ended up picking us up many times.

Awful, awful experience This has got to be the worst hotel experience. I came to Detroit for a concert with a friend and stayed here. Words cannot describe how terrible the experience was. Smelly room, ripped carpet, no cleaning service and unsavory individuals hanging in the parking lot outside of my window having loud conversations with loud music playing. To say I would never stay here again is an understatement. Avoid this place like the plague. As a matter of fact, avoid Detroit. It's awful and Comfort Inn Downtown is equally awful.

Filthy room The walls had holes in them. The clock was filthy. Just a very nasty environment. They over charged me due to the event which was going on and had the audacity to give me this disgusting, filthy, nasty room! They have no regards for their customers. Just want your money!

There’s a reason why… …this hotel has vacancies when all the others are booked. To begin with, the staff was great : courteous, friendly and helpful (that’s what boosted my rating up from 1 star). The hotel is not. It is low end: worn carpet, furniture and rooms (but the beds were comfortable) steel doors on the rooms….just low end. Paying $650 for a weekend stay here borders on outrageous but….it was one of the few with rooms available.

No going back there anytime soon. This hotel needs a major upgrade. The rooms are out of date. The free breakfast is worth skipping. We stayed two nights and housekeeping did not clean our room on Sunday night when we were checking out on Monday. The staff at the front desk were very nice. It's sad they are doing such a great job and corporate does not care enough to update the hotel.
