Great stay for road trips This is an awesome property - kitchenettes, helpful staff, laundry (with ample quarters available at the front desk), all at a great price. We spent three nights, the last of our three week road trip, at this hotel. Vail is a quick 30 minute drive, and the hotel is centrally located for restaurants/stores, etc.

Terrible experience We stayed here for a wedding last month and we’re extremely disappointed with our stay. To start, it took an incredibly long time to check in as nobody was coming to the front desk and then we later learned that the only staff member was on a very long phone call. When he finally checked us in he barely said a word to us -there was no greeting-and he put us into a dirty room (there was a dirty spoon in the sink and other items left in the dishwasher). Luckily we were able to be put in a new room but we were quite unnerved about this oversight considering the pandemic. It was also a hassle considering how long we had already waited to check in. Our next disappointment was when we went to use the computer at their “business center”. There was no mouse there. A worker was able to find one for us but of course when he plugged it in it hardly worked. We tried to make do but then learned the computer was completely unusable anyway as it wasn’t connected to the internet and they couldn’t help us. Some other things to be aware of are that there are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms and there is a lot of road noise from the highway. There’s also a horrible smell throughout the building. After our short stay here I called the manager to alert her of our concerns and she offered to send us a gift card. She confirmed our address and said she would call us 2 days later to confirm that it was sent. Never heard from her. Called and left her a message and still never heard from her. Called her again and was told that it was mailed out over a week ago but that she would look into it since we never received it and that I would get a call back in 24 hours. Of course no call was received. Not surprised at this point. There are multiple hotels in this area so I really don’t see a reason why anyone would want to choose to stay at this one.

Review of stay from June 20, 2021 to June 25, 2021 This place was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I am 77 years old and have traveled extensively. Breakfast advertised was not provided. Rooms never cleaned despite multiple requests and assurances from dismissive very young staff, with exception of one senior night staff. Towels and coffee had to be requested at the front desk. Odors in the hallway and in my room because garbage was never emptied. Fire alarm goes off and no announcements or directions from staff. This must be where they house the homeless. The worst.

Near skiing and other mountain sports One is close to great Colorado skiing. The front desk managers and receptionist are wonderful. They can keep calm i the midst of angry covid-tired travelers, while maintaining a sense of humor. They are hospitable...beyond. Whether business or pleasure, this is a good place to stay.

First stay here, but definitely not the last It's very difficult to find a room within a reasonable distance of Vail at a cost that I can stomach and isn't a dump. This GreenTree was just perfect to me. The bed was great, slept terrific. And even though the freeway was right out my window, I never heard a thing. The soundproofing must be excellent. The front desk guy was very nice, courteous and thoughtful. That seems to be a rare commodity in the U.S. these days, so it was really nice to be treated so respectfully and not have to pay $500/night for it. I highly recommend this hotel. I'll be back for sure.
