Good hotel, but beware of hidden Parking fee WARNING: Unlike every other hotel in the MSP Suburbs, this place charges $5 to park your car. When booking this hotel online, it's not very clear, or outright hidden, depending on which site you use to book. Also, unlike most hotels of this type, there is no free breakfast offered. Those two negatives aside, we had a pleasant stay. Staff at Check-in and Check-out were pleasant and the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable.

Disappointing stay. No care for 3rd party bookings. I came into town to go to Paisley Park and chose this hotel because it was close to my destination and I had previously stayed at the Hyatt Place right next door and loved the location. If I knew then what I know now, I would have paid the little bit of extra money to stay there. The first night I noticed a couple of ants in the bathroom, but didn't think much of it until I saw several more the next night, which was my last. I still decided to tell the front desk and they moved me to a new room. Also, I purchased a late checkout, which showed on the email they sent me as 4pm, but when I asked about it, several times, they said I was misinformed and refused to honor it, even after the ant situation. I didn't ask for any compensation or discount, just simply wanted an apology and some empathy. I didn't get either.

Chose this location for the pool. Only..... pool not available.... no notification......anywhere In town for a hockey tournament and this was one of two options provided. I chose this hotel and paid $30 more a night as the pictures showed a very nice pool area which would be great as it was also my son's birthday. When we got to the hotel, no pool, it was not available as they were remodeling. No information posted anywhere in or around the hotel, nothing on the corporate page, no information shared with the tournament. Front desk staff did not seem to really care and just smiled and said "it is almost done"! (I'm most likely not planning a return trip) There was also no ice on our floor. Note on machine said to use third floor machine. Third floor machine did not work either..... Breakfast is not great. Microwave your own sandwiches and you have to check in with the register. It wasn't awful, just not real great when you are in a hurry. I did submit a concern to corporate. They sent a message stating that they have sent it to the local manager to address my concerns and I still have not seen a reply from the local manager. Make sure you call ahead to see if the pool is done if a pool is important to you like it is to our family. The property is actually a very nice property and the rooms are very nice. I just won't stay here again as there was absolutely no action taken by the staff to try and make my stay better due to the pool snafu. Customer service goes a long way.

Can Not Recommend This room is at the Sonesta Select hotel in Eden Prairie. Prior to 2021, this hotel was a Courtyard by Marriott. The majority of reviews on their page are for Courtyard and Sonesta Select is dishonestly taking credit for Courtyard's good work. Staff at this hotel we're extremey rude and seemed to lack professional training needed to complete their work. Unfortunately, several children were running through the halls, knocking on doors and standing outside their rooms chatting from 2am-4am one night. I called the front desk twice and went to the lobby once. Staff yelled at me each time I reported the noise. We were in MN for a funeral and brought our dog. Due to Canine Influenza Virus, we were not able to board him. We were told at check-in that the dog could not stay in our room unattended. Leaving our dog in the car made attending the funeral extremely difficult as we had to make several trips out to check on him and give him water. Had we known this rule before booking, we would have made other plans. No receipt at checkout, I asked for a receipt for the pet fee which the hotel charged me at check-in. Yusef told me I didn't understand how the hotel charges work and argued about my bank needing to give me a receiptinsteadofthe hotel. I was able to contact Sonesta Select corporate today, they sent the wrong receipt. The pool/hot tub was broken, no ice on 1st floor, no coffee available after @9a (no free coffee at all).

Rude manager It's a nice place but the manager, Amber, is rude and confrontational. Not impressed with a company that would employ somebody like this. The hotel gets 4 stars. Amber, zero stars. She was argumentative and has an all around hostile personality.
