Sleep Inn

It's an ok place First time staying at a Sleep Inn. Across the street from Splash Lagoon if they is why you're in Erie. When we arrived to our room, Room 310. The shower floor was and still is dirty and there is some pink mildew along the cracks of the shower floor and wall. The bathroom door has a dent in it. The lamp has something dirty on the shade. There was and still is a open by the light fixture. Also, the toilet paper holder was and still broken. There was dead flies on the window sills of the windows of the stair wells.

Black Mold & Bad Attitude I rented two rooms off of them and for two night for my wife and our older kids. The kids room ended up. Eing a handicap room which we did not request and when the first child showered water got every where all over the tile floor because the shower curtain was a good 6-7 inches off of the floor. There was BLACK MOLD coming out of the base of the shower which only goes to show how much they clean the shower. The door to the bathroom didn’t lock and the the main door to the room had to be slammed shut and then checked to make sure it locked as when we returned at the end of the first day the door was open. Nice right!! Security not such a priority there I guess. When I made mention this the night manager he offered to change our room for our last night which I declined. Be also said well no one told us about the mold before. I said no one should have to if your cleaning people were doing their job!!! Upon checking out and mentioning it the the hotel manager he offered me a $25.00 discount and did so with attitude so I said thats fine if thats all you can do go ahead and I will call corporate to discuss more to which he said if you are calling corporate then I am not giving you the $25.00. I said are you really trying to hold $25.00 over my head so I dont call corporate lol needless to say I told him keep his $25.00 then called corporate and they gave me a free two night stay to any of their properties. One thing for sure is it WONT BE SLEEP INN IN ERIE PA!!!

Staff respects customers . Quick check in. Pleasant staff. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was well stocked. Provided bottle of water, and bag of chips very nice. Hotel was a good value. Appreciated the tv channel guide to determine channels to watch Very good hotel in a good location

Nice Property In a Good Location - With Some Problems Please Read Our room was clean and our bed comfy - but a few problems were encountered that could be deal breakers for some guests. First, the utensils in the bins at breakfast were all facing "out" so the forks, spoons, and knives were all touched by guests. This is a violation of local Health Dept rules and staff should be aware this is unsanitary. Property would be cited with a violation if an inspector walked in and saw this. It's not difficult to place these correctly if they are not individually wrapped. Please see attached photo. This surely doesn't meet standards of Choice Hotels franchise agreement. Secondly: There is no toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom! See the attached photo with the TP sitting on top of the toilet tank. A person with a rotator cuff problem would be out of luck. The bathrooms are nice, but why is there no standard roll dispenser? Does this violate local building codes? Thirdly, it is understood that English is not the native language of the staff. However, the young lady at the front desk is very, very hard to understand. Please provide some direction for her, as she speaks much too fast (and too softly) making the guests constantly ask her to repeat herself.

Passing Thru Erie Very, very nice stay! Fast & friendly check-in. Everything was fresh smelling and quite clean with our room; comfortable bed/pillows and being on the 3rd floor was quiet. Breakfast consisted of a nice variety of hot & cold options with fruit, juice, and cereals. We enjoyed our experience and highly recommend it!
