Second Quality Inn in a row lacking quality For the second night in a row, I checked into a Quality Inn that had a decent-looking lobby thinking things would be fine. As I left the lobby to go to my room, the people in line behind me told the clerk that they needed a different room, as theirs was "filthy" and "stunk like marijuana". Oh, no... not again... Well, I don't think they got much happier with their new room, which was just a couple doors down from mine, because my initial reaction was "Second dive in two days." Generally outdated, grungy, no fault of the housekeeping staff, just poorly maintained in general. Also, I made this reservation by phone on the morning of my stay, and the associate I spoke with mentioned that I could "enjoy the pool"... I didn't plan to use the pool, and a good thing too, because all over the lobby there are signs apologizing that the pool is "closed indefinitely" and that if it's a problem to let them know before checking in. No problem for me, but they might want to let the Reservations folks know of their status so they won't go promising things that aren't there. At least the internet worked at this one. As others have mentioned, room access is all outside-only and there are no elevators. Parking is all the way around the building, which is inconvenient to those with mobility issues, and in the morning I found (and reported) three vehicles in handicapped spaces that had no plate or placard. The clerk didn't sound surprised. I remember a few years ago when the Econolodge and Rodeway levels could be a bit of a gamble, but I would use them on long trips to save money. However, at the Quality level you almost never got let down. This stay at least saved me some money, because I was "only" ten hours from home and decided to drive through rather than risk booking a third dive.

Disgusting, The first room we were given was located at the back of the building right by the highway. When we unlocked the door the TV was on and the bed looked like the covers had been pulled up over used linens and pillows. It smelled. I called the front desk, no answer. After 3 attempts my husband walked back to the desk and got another room. This hotels has exteriors doors which WAS indicated on the website. This is not our norm but the Comfort In had no handicapped rooms available. Big Mistake. Handicapped in this motel meant tub with black mold, shower chair, toilet modified with two arms screwed to toilet seat. The worst part of the bathroom was the toilet didn't flush in our room or the men's room off the lobby. We did report to front desk as we high-tailed it out of this dump. Hot breakfast meant waffle maker. Coffee in the morning was only available at breakfast starting at 7am. Shame, SHAME Choice Hotels for even listing this as your property. FYI We stayed in another Quality Inn in Columbus OH this trip on September 8 and it was absolutely beautiful.

RUN!! Fast!!! Absolutely filthy. There is no way this is a 3 star. It should be 0 star!! Be aware… They say that you can cancel within 20 minutes of being there, but they will tell you that it is canceled but they will not put it through as a cancellation. Make sure you follow up before you leave or have something in writing. If you walk into hotel, and the very lobby is dirty and filthy, that will give you an idea whether or not the rooms are of the same presentation. I had to book another hotel up the road. BTW I included a picture of what actually looks like. Now, if this is false, believe me, all the other pictures are false.

Worst experience ever I booked 2 rms for a quick overnight stay with my daughter and grandchildren. it was late when we got there and all were tired. it was too late to find something else. it was absolutely disgusting. This motel should be rated a minus 1 star. How can it be a 3 rating. it was absolutely dirty. Mold was bad. On mattresses and walls! please read ratings before you book with this outfit. It absolutely ruined our time in Erie.

Don’t bother/ photos are misleading This place was so terrible I am having an anxiety attack right now just because thinking about this horrible excuse for a motel. Room smelled, bathroom was full of mold and the carpet was SO DIRTY AND GROSS _. Go at your own risk ⚠️. I cannot ever imagine how stressful this stay was……
