Nice Rooms Stayed here three nights in June with other family members. Hotel was very clean. Rooms were spacious and I appreciated the residential size refrigerator. Beds were comfortable and that is saying a lot for someone with a very bad back. Front desk personnel and housekeeping were all very nice and welcoming. Housekeeping needs to ensure all rooms have the same items, out of three rooms there were missing washrags and mats for bathroom. Front desk quick to respond to any requests. Breakfast was standard small buffet.

Ick I’ve stayed at several hotels since the pandemic started and this is the first one where I felt uncomfortable and actually considered moving to another hotel. It started when we checked in and the desk clerk had her young son running around behind the counter banging on all sorts of things and what appeared to be her husband/boyfriend draped across a chair by the counter less than six feet from us, waiting for her to get off work. No social distancing here. It ended with us passing a maskless maid in the hall as we checked out. At least she smiled and wished us well. In between, we had other reasons for concerns. Our room raised similar issues. Prior guest’s ice in the freezer hadn’t been cleaned out. Dust on top of the frig confirmed there were at least some surfaces that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Hair in the soap dish in the shower. Sand in the sheet of the sofa bed. Common areas had similar issues with visible dust on phones in elevator lobbies. Overall, it was just a huge difference from the hyper-clean experiences we’ve had at other hotels. Prior to this I thought it was overkill. Now I realize how much peace of mind it gave us. Even little things like elevator capacity limits and letting us choose if we wanted maid service or not were missing. The room itself was small. We used the sofa bed and when extended it abutted the end of the king bed and you could not get to the other side of the room without crawling across one of the beds. Even the refrigerator was jammed in a space where the frig door couldn’t open or close without hitting the room door or kitchen counter. This was particularly annoying because the shelves were in the top positions and couldn’t be taken out and adjusted because the frig door couldn’t open wide enough to take them out. Electric outlets worked inconsistently and there were no USB chargers. GFCI’s needed reset. Ice machine on third floor was out of order. The best part of the stay was when we went to get some ice cream from the front desk and no one was there. We helped ourselves and used the app to tell them to charge the room. Best touchless experience we had. Ironically, they told us next time we should use the phone at the front desk to call them. See my comments on phones above. No thanks. I expected better quality controls and consistency by Marriott. All the items I mentioned, and I’m sure more, could easily be observed simply by inspecting some rooms and common areas.

. Location: It is in a complex with Fairfield Inn by Marriott and Homewood suites as neighbors. You have to drive straight to Home Goods and then make a left and you will be in the hotel complex. The Millcreek Mall is crossing the street and there are other stores like Ross in the shopping center next to the complex. The hotel is 2 minutes from I-79. It took us about 12 minutes to drive to The Bicentennial tower and about 15 to the Entrance to Presque Isle State Park. Giant eagle to buy groceries is nearby. Check-In: We arrived around 2p,m. and our room was ready. They assigned us a room on the first floor as requested. Room: Our room had a queen bed with a kitchenette. We were 2 adults and the room felt small. There were plenty of cabinets to store your belongings. There were outlets in the room, bathroom and kitchenette but I did not see a single USB port charger. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was fully stocked with plates, glasses, paper towel, small dish detergent, frying pan, pans and pots, toaster, can opener, knives, coffee pot, cups, glass containers, measuring cup, utensils, some Tupperware, handheld dustpan with brush, dishwasher and dishwasher pod. I did not use the dishwasher, stove or any of the cookware. See my pictures for better reference. Bathroom: No shampoo was provided. Reception gave me one. Plenty of towels and a closet with an extra pillow and blanket. There was an iron and ironing board. Breakfast: Disappointed. I did not see fresh fruit. There was yogurt, cartoon milk, boxed orange juice, a 2 pack of hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, muffins, granola bars. There is a hand sanitizer station at the entrance of the breakfast room. Fitness center and pool: I did not use either. The pool opened for the guests the afternoon of my last day. You have to sign up for the pool and fitness center. Pool maximum time is 1.5hrs. Only so many people are allowed in the pool at the same time. Service: It was ok. They did what they were supposed to do. Areas to improve: I found a hair in the refrigerator. A clean glass in the dishwasher ( someone forgot to remove it). No shampoo in the bathroom. No USB charger in the room. Room is small.

Great Long Term Stay & Excellent Customer Service Everyone we encountered at TownePlace Suites has been wonderful. With all the changes Covad brings to travel, they have really stepped up to make their guests safe and comfortable. We are almost done with our month stay and have enjoyed the location and room. Big Thanks to Melissa, Emily, Michael and Shari at the front desk, who help coordinate these odd times with room supplies and cleaning. We appreciate all the staff who kept the hotel clean and working. I was bummed that the pool had not been open, but they were waiting for an inspection. It did open during our stay, with use by appointment and that worked fine. We love the location – lots of restaurants, including local ones within 2 miles and two grocery stores close. Easy to get to Presque Isle and Ashbury Woods for time outside. I booked to stay here again in a few weeks.

Great option for travel with a baby/family! Made a trip out to Presque Isle for the day and needed a place to stay overnight. We have a 1 year old so the Marriott TownePlace Suites (multiple rooms) option was a must! We used one room to set up his pack and play and the main area for all of his things! The kitchen and table were great for feedings and overall this facility was a great value and hotel!
