Do not stay here in Fairfield This hotel is neglected and Run Down. Needs a major remodel and all new management and staff. There is significant deferred maintenance. Minimal staffing. Housekeeping available approx 0900-1630. The manager does not work on their busy weekends. We had to make our bed on day 2 of a 4 nite stay. I would like to see Health dept inspections and E Verify data.

No room service or refreshing for seven days! The front desk staff are so friendly; the breakfast gal overworked - she needs help. The rooms/suite are adequate, a bit tired. It is a big drawback that they only clean every seven days - not even every other day refreshing. So disappointing. The breakfast oatmeal bar is sad. Ice cream sundae peanuts on oatmeal. It is rather disgusting. What happened to walnuts or almonds. And, there is no choice of nondairy milk for any of the cereals.

Is is a decline in the property, simple greed, or both??? Had to remove another star. In the world of corporate travel, you rapidly discover that hotels are essentially exactly the same. Rooms are very similar between properties, no matter who the owner or the parent company is. In the end, it boils down to customer service and the “little things” (amenities) that will make a traveler pick one property over another. While this property has continually had clean rooms that are in good condition, and an outstanding customer service team… recently they are starting to make changes that are affecting the travelers in a negative fashion. One in particular was discovered this morning… For the first time ever, I have found a Staybridge that you have to pay to do laundry now. $8.00 per load. This past Monday, it was free. It has always been a hallmark of the Staybridge properties that they had complementary laundry facilities for their guests. Apparently, that policy is no longer in place. I spoke with the front desk; this decision was apparently made at a regional manager level… There is nothing they can do about it. She seemed pretty helpless regarding the entire situation. I will be asking IHG about this… My understanding was that it was their policy to keep laundry facilities complementary in a Staybridge hotel. (The website even states this…) Apparently there is a disconnect between corporate and the local manager; and someone needs to verify their information before making wholesale changes. As for me, I guess it’s time to go look for a laundromat instead of relying on the hotel to correct this issue. It’s disappointing… I’ve been very happy with this property otherwise.

Just about perfect! We had business in Vallejo and were told to stay in Fairfield (just 12 minutes away), and we wouldn't be disappointed. We had stayed in two one-bed room suites for one week - we loved it. The suites were great. The amenities the best! The breakfast and breakfast area was just the best! Lots of choices from a chohabi bar with fresh berries and granola to a mini waffle bar to hot food selections which changed daily. There were lots of bread choices for toasting (everything bagel to wheat toast), muffins, and oranges and bananas. The hot beverage bar is available 24/7, and they have medium and dark roast coffee, in addition to decaf. The indoor pool was heated and had a jacuzzi. The outside area was beautiful, with comfy seating and a firepit that was lighted in the evening and night. I came back one evening and there were two groups in the breakfast area playing table games and another group enjoying the fire. It was all just so homey. The staff was amazing; friendly, professional, and available for anything. There is ample parking, even for large vehicles or a moving truck. I'll definitely stay here again. Best place ever, and very reasonably priced. :)
