great mushroom soup I actually stayed at the Holiday Inn Express but visited here twice. Paul, the bartender, served the homemade mushroom soup. Just what I needed after a long traveling day. I was visiting the last four states I had not yet seen - both Dakotas, Alaska and Hawaii and he was among the people who made this trip enjoyable!

1970s hotel in the modern era This Holiday Inn was likely built in the 1970s based on design. Getting in from the road is a bit of a hassle due to how there are multiple wings branching out all over. When checking in, they will tell you which entrance your room is near (they are numbered) and suggest parking near it. I arrived around 5 so my room was ready. Elevator wasn’t bad as I rode it to the second floor. Typical room, not fancy. Immediately left to go to the RedHawks game and came back around 10 to enjoy the hotel bar, which was busy due to a few conventions. Eventually went back to the room, and had a good night’s sleep. Room was clean. Woke up next morning, and had the typical weak water pressure. I had coffee from the lobby (there is also a coffee shop and small restaurant) and took a look around the pool. It has a pirate theme with slides for kids, but room for adults to swim. There is a small arcade and pool tables. It’s essentially a remnant of the old Holidome concept I loved as a kid 30+ years ago. Poolside rooms too! The pool didn’t open until 9 or 10 so I asked the front desk if that was a hard opening time, and she said it was due to the poolside rooms. Since they had a guard around, I wasn’t going to take my chances. Checkout was fine and I was on my way. Sadly I didn’t really get to see Fargo, didn’t see downtown at all, so I may have to return at some point. If so, I would certainly consider coming back, hopefully to use the pool.

Great location and nice accommodations Stayed over the weekend when visiting Fargo for a wedding. We have silver medallion status and when we checked in, we were greeted with a keycard thanking us for our loyalty to IHG and mention of free internet. The room had a king bed and was on the first floor. It was a typical hotel room and was very clean and had done newer updates. When meeting with other family there for the wedding, we realized we had not received the pool wrist bands but we were not planning on using the area so it was not a concern. We did call in the morning and ask for a later checkout as our flight wasn’t until late afternoon (5pm), and with silver status we know that up to 2pm checkout is an option (when available). They hesitated at delaying our check out but then agreed to 12:30PM. The stay was comfortable and the hotel was clean. There are plenty of amenities available - gift shop, nice pool area, coffee shop, restaurant. And the hotel is very conveniently located to the mall and other shopping and restaurants. Cost was very reasonable but we also got a discount as part of the wedding block. Nice stay.

Nice and clean rooms The hotel was nice and clean and the rooms were spacious and modern. Our only problem was it got very noisy during the night with kids screaming in the next room (not baby) and got to a point where we and another room called security (we wanted to make sure the kids were okay). Security came but the screaming started again few minutes later. I spoke to the manager and he provided some reward points as a gesture which we appreciated.

Great stay Great rest and clean room. Only stayed one night for a conference and it was quiet and nice. Fitness room was clean and adequate. Bed was supportive and the pillows were comfortable. Nice amount of plug ins for charging all my devices. Close to shopping and food.
