Older Bare-Bones Suites, Affordable. $25/day Pet Fee I stayed here for a week and my stay was okay. It has definitely been run down over the years and they no longer supply the things that make it a suite (i.e. dishes, silverware, cooking pots and pans). So if you come expecting to cook, be aware of that. They have cut a lot of corners over the years. I was also disturbed that the side door entrance wouldn't close; anybody off the streets can walk in at any time of night. The people at the front desk were friendly, but definitely overwhelmed. The pet fee was exorbitant, $25 a day with no limit! So if you stay a week, as I did, it's $175 extra! Most extended-stay hotels cap that off so beware of that. I like the area; it's in the Detroit suburbs and there are plenty of restaurants and businesses within a short drive or walk. I might stay here again, but I'm definitely going to look around before I do. I'd be willing to spend more for a week-stay to get a place that is better maintained and equipped.

I could have paid less for a better hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE unless you have a car or snow shoes if it’s winter. I was just there and the only positives were comfortable bed and decent wifi. I stayed two days and there was never any breakfast available or coffee. There were no pans, cups or eating utensils in the room. Also no shampoo, simply one small bar of soap. I’ve stayed at several Extended Stays and they always had nice amenities. I think most of the guests were experiencing homelessness and were poor so the company thought they could get away with not providing services. One resident told me that if staff showed up late, breakfast was never provided. This is unacceptable to treat guests like this! Glad I had protein bars to eat until my nephew picked me up. Too slippery to walk to a store in athletic shoes. I stocked up at Whole Foods for the next morning. Shame on Extended Stay!

Run away as fast as you can! This is the worst place I have ever stayed! If I could rate it a negative number, I would. Filthy dirty!! First booked a queen room then changed the reservation to king for a higher rate prior to arrival. Upon checking in wasn’t told I was switched to a double bed- not a queen as was told. I went to the front desk after seeing the room. Front desk said the king room that I was supposed to get was “destroyed” and that I would get the queen rate. When I asked her what that rate was it was higher than the king rate I booked. She said I would get a free night & she would give me a $10 per night discount on my queen rate. We stayed 1 night while trying to figure out what to do bc it was late. The room smelled like a strong burnt coffee. There was gross things on the wall I did not take pictures of as it would make me sick looking at it. I went to check out the next morning- the rate I was charged was quite a bit more than what my rate was that I booked - he said bc it was a nightly rate versus a weekly rate. Not safe as we were leaving there were 2 police cars that pulled up and went inside. Not safe!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS For a smoke-free hotel, this place reeks of cigarettes. I was scheduled to stay here for 1 month, but checked out after 1 week because my smoke detector went off due to an incredibly strong odor of cigarette smoke that had wafted through the vents from another room one night. I have never in my life so much as TOUCHED a cigarette, yet I was charged a $150 smoking fee because their supposedly 100% fool-proof smoke detectors would “never have gone off in my room if the smoke had come from another room”. I have never received such downright VILE treatment from staff at a hotel before in my attempt to clarify the misunderstanding, and they threatened to call the police if my smoke detector ever went off again. I did not want to be blamed again for a neighbor’s actions, so I checked out the same day. Since when are smoke detectors so accurate at localizing the origin of smoke that you’d be willing to throw customer service completely out the window? My first and last time staying at an ESA. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks to stay at any of the SIGNIFICANTLY nicer hotels in the area that have polite staff, better amenities, and no funky smells.
