Don't go at the weekend - all geared for weddings and not at all relaxing No restaurant at the weekend. Very loud music until Midnight. Guest noises until 2.00am. Poor quality breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the building and grounds are interesting but a three star hotel should have a functioning restaurant 7 days a week. We drove from Cornwall and had to go out to find a restaurant in Farnham.

Avoid. Better hotels in the area I stayed here previously and thought it was ok. Not sure what has happened since. My single room was dirty and the dower cubicle was awful with mould on the dower curtain. Though I had paid for breakfast, I was unable to make it as I needed to leave at 0700 (work commitments); the hotel refused to refund me. There’s are better hotels in/around the area ranging from independent to hotel chains.

very bad, dirty and grimy rooms. the room really was a single room with a double bed thrown in - the ceiling slanted so my partner could not sit up in bed! The shower curtain had mould over it, and the rest of the bathroom was grimy, dirty and really not very nice at all. In the drawer marked 'tea and coffee' there were only cups and sugar, the carpets had not been cleaned for goodness knows how long, the room was dark and gloomy. The breakfast was awful, cold, watery eggs, no milk or hot water for making your drinks. The member of staff clearly could not really care as she had probably had a morning of complaints. I would definitely not recommend it, better off going to a different hotel with a comfortable bed and is clean. I emailed the hotel with my complaint, as well as speaking to the receptionist - 4 days later I am still waiting to hear from someone.

Disappointing. Stayed here at the end of August for 2 nights, from the outside its beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The interior downstairs is old but still relatively nice, the staff are friendly most of the time. However the rooms are disgusting, they do not look like they have been cleaned. The carpets had bits all over them it's not something you would want to walk on without shoes. The bathroom was dated, floor and shower were dirty and the toilet had skid marks left in it. The beds aren't the most comfortable, you can feel the springs in the mattress. The sheets and duvet had stains on them. I found hairs, bugs and crumbs in the bed. I felt dirty just being in there. It is also quite noisy with pipes going off any time someone flushes the toilet or turns on a tap in another room. The walls are very thin you can hear people talking, snoring or turning lights on or off. Breakfast was average, nothing special. Overall I would NOT stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It was ok I booked into a single room. The room was clean. Bathroom could do with being updated. Bar area is nice. The breakfast was good; I let the hotel know I was gluten free and they ensured I was looked after. Disappointed there was no orange juice- it was orange cordial instead. All in all, a nice stay. Would stay again.
