Pleasant Stay Was checked in by Nicole, who was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean and decently priced. Stayed for a weekend and was able to switch out our pillows for softer ones. It was nice to be able to get a fresh cup of coffee before heading out for the day.

The worst of Red Roof Inn Insects, plumbing leaks, odors, stains, debris, broken locks, broken walls, damaged electrical receptacles and equipment, multiple room changes, bad coffee, long line at reception with waiting guests having their children pee in the parking lot while others are getting refunds or room changes, and $4 safe fees that must be refunded at checkout. On the positive side; no pet fee and friendly, cooperative staff. All this from one night. Our call to corporate should result in a site audit and a credit. Either Red Roof removes their name from this site or they make complete renovations.

Property should be condemned Filthy just filthy. Run down dirty hotel with mouthy arrogant front desk employees and a couple of hags sitting in the lobby making snarky comments about the arriving guests. Had plenty of time to hear these snarky comments as check-in took almost an hour for no discernible reason. No towels in the room visible spots of slime and dirt in multiple locations within on the bedspread chair and counter where the sink is. Dilapidated toilet with a loose seat. Mold spots on the shower curtain and the shower tiles. Cracks and in the ceiling. Dead bugs lying on the carpet. My feet were black after walking on the floor of the room for 1 minute. Door to room had to be shoved open because of faulty lock. This hotel is beyond description in terms of just how hellish it is.

Marginal at best Stayed here one night on our drive north from Florida. Do not recommend; will not stay here again. At 4:30pm, with no one ahead of us, the check in process was slow; they had been full the night before and no rooms were available based on what we reserved (king). I asked if there were other options and the desk attendant seemed quite put out by my request but regenerated the paperwork for a different room (2 doubles). We stayed in 214. (1) The lock was extremely temperamental and required a lot of force to open. Once in the room we noted that the door itself was “off”/not square in the frame which probably caused the lock issues. It did allow some fresh air to enter which was nice as the room was stuffy and we find the a/c units (which did work) noisy to sleep with. (2) The room was not clean. The floor was filthy with a large “can’t miss it” grimy sticky spot. The two chairs also had dirt and grim on them. The spread on one of the beds had stains all over it. The desk lampshade had black stains/spots on it. We thought about asking for a new room but given the less than pleasant reception we had had decided to address the dirt ourselves. Once we went to the laundry room to get towels - there were none in the room - we used one of the washcloths and lots of hot water to wipe everything down/remove the filth to make the room something we could stay in for one night. On the plus side, the lobby area is nice, obviously redone recently. Free coffee wasn’t bad. The mattress we slept on was firm and comfortable. The bed was well made with clean sheets; the pillows were comfortable. The tub, sink and toilet were newer looking and clean. We saw no signs of bugs that others mentioned. We were in the front building and it felt safe. Our guess is an overworked maid came in and remade the beds and cleaned the bathroom but did nothing else. We didn’t expect a 5 star hotel but this is not acceptable to us. While other reviewers mentioned how nice the front desk attendant was we found her abrupt and unwelcoming in person though very pleasant on the phone when we called about getting towels. The same woman was on in the morning when we checked out; I had planned to report the lock issue but didn’t think she’d be receptive.
