Lacking in the Basics My bare minimum for a decent night's stay is a comfortable bed, hot water in the shower and being clean. This failed on two out of three. The mattress seemed like it had better days, was noticeably sagging. I went to take a shower at 10 p.m. and the water was lukewarm to tepid. It seemed relatively clean, and the internet worked. But for the money, it was not a great place to stay. Will not be back.

Not Worth the Cost I selected the hotel due to its location and being able to check-in before 3:00 p.m. When I checked in, I was informed that a $100 "incidentals" hold would be placed on my card. I made my reservation by calling the hotel but the person who assisted me, Adipt (spelling may be incorrect), never mentioned the hold. It was an unpleasant surprise, especially when I discovered that the hold prevented me from using the credit card for anything else until it was removed. I also was unpleasantly surprised that my request for an early check-in was not stated on my reservation. Despite the lack of information, Octavia at the front desk was extremely helpful and checked me into a quiet room per my request. Although it was quiet, the third-floor room was nothing special. There was a gap (approximately 1.5 to 2 inches) below the bottom of the door and the floor. If someone were so inclined, he or she could have laid on the hall floor and looked into the room. The room’s carpet was stained and frayed in placed and the overly soft bed resulted in my waking up with a backache. By far the worst problems were in the bathroom. The tub was so slippery that I almost fell taking a shower. In addition, the tub walls needed a good cleaning; several tiles and most of the grout around the front of tub were covered with orange mildew/mold. When I attempted to discuss the issues during check-out, Adipt argued with me. She insisted that the $100 hold is stated on the web site despite my telling her that I made the reservation with her over the phone. Adipt also was unconcerned about the mildew/mold issue; she did not comment or offer an apology. Good customer service definitely was lacking. Although the hotel was not the worst place I’ve ever been, I doubt I’ll stay there again.

So so A nothing special hotel. Price was somewhat lower than others in the area but still overpriced for what you get there. Understaffed like most places are these days; staff forced to try to be in two places at one time. Walls are thin. You wanna cry if you’re across from the ice machine. Our ground floor window didn’t lock but we were too weary when we checked in late at night to go to a different hotel. That being said, the bed was comfortable enough, room was clean, water pressure fine. Staff was friendly.

Great hotel if traveling with pets! This was a great hotel. Breakfast was ok. Selection was the usual, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, breads and bagels, yogurt. We travel with two medium size dogs. The room was big enough for the two kennels and all our extra stuff. Very comfortable quarters! We had a room on the first floor next to the back exit which made it convenient! There were walking trails all around it and restaurants close by! The only negative was the amount for the pet fee…. Most hotels we’ve stayed at are a flat fee for the stay.

Incredible experience! We arrived well before check-in time. We intended to just get the paperwork done and come back later. Octavia went above and beyond to find a 1st floor room that was ready to go. She was even kind enough to call and make sure the room was clean and stocked. The entire staff was wonderful! Octavia, Cheryl, Faithe, everybody made our stay incredibly memorable.
