Best Hotel in FOCO I always book the Marriott when I stay in Fort Collins, but this trip I decided to try somewhere new just to see what another hotel was like. Big Mistake! I thought I would try the Holiday Inn Express this time. I reserved two rooms a month ahead of time for my family. My father and I were splitting the cost and he wanted to pay cash, so I reserved it in my credit card. When I went to check in I was told that I had to pay for the rooms and the fees up front, and it had to be on the credit card. I explained that this was not disclosed to me ahead of time and I got the “too bad, so sad” attitude from the Manager with a snarky attitude! Needless to say I cancelled my rooms at the Holiday Inn Express and went back to the hotel in town that has always been awesome-The Mariott on Horsetooth! I will never try anyone else again! The Mariott got me in both rooms the same day, checked us in early, and worked with my budget and circumstances with a positive attitude and respect! I will NEVER go anywhere else on my Fort Collins visits again!

Stay away until after renovations are completed! Stay away until they finish their renovation! Right now, the rooms are very run down. Pros: Staff is very considerate and accommodating, and the common areas are not bad. Cons: Our first room smelled of moldy carpet so strongly that we asked to switch. The second room smelled almost as bad, but with a dollop of chemical air freshener spray to mask the mold. In addition the carpet had dark stains the size of dinner plates, the walls had gouges and stains all over, and the bed sheets in one bed were stained. There was what appeared to be a dried blood stain on the bathroom floor and bottom of the shower curtain. The towels provided were all frayed and torn. There is hammering all day (can hear it from two floors away, sounds like someone is constantly knocking loudly on your door). They did change the sheets for us, and said they were giving guests a voucher for a free coffee in the lobby, but every time we went there it was closed. In general the place seems deserted and run down. The pool was smaller than looks in their photos and was greenish, cloudy, and filled with bugs and other debris. Might be a lot better after the renovations are complete.

Three night stay We stayed at this hotel while visiting northern CO. Hotel was fine although construction noise during the weekdays is loud. Pool ( indoor and outdoor) and hot tub were clean. Breakfast buffet plus eggs to order were nicer than some hotel “grab and go” breakfast. Hotel is located near upscale shopping and dining. Room needed updating but the hotel is undergoing renovation. If going to Estes Park, plan on an hour drive. No daily housekeeping but towels delivered to room upon request. I would stay here again if I ever visited Fort Collins.

Good price and location I visited my daughter in Fort Collins and booked one night at the Marriott and I must say it was pleasantly the best experience I have had in a long time! It was the middle of the week so less people and even with the construction noise it still was very nice. I did like all the precautions that were taken and this was reassuring. The rooms were clean even though it was dated. That didn't matter. Please continue to provide a clean and safe place to stay!

A little dated but great hotel! We stayed on the 6th floor, which had a beautiful view of the mountains. We didn't take advantage of a lot of the hotel offerings but it was a perfectly pleasant stay. The bed is comfy, the pillows are great, the towels aren't those shiny little scratchy things a lot of hotels have. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part is, I didn't hear anything from any other room or the hallway a single time during our stay, which is huge! Would definitely stay again.
