Come on Hilton - you can do better! I've stayed with the Hilton brand for well over 20 years, so I'm familiar with this brand. Obviously this hotel is re-branded from an Embassy Suites to Hilton (although same family). I was a bit disappointed with this Hilton. Yes, it was clean and comfortable, but there were a couple of issues that just were subpar. First, there was not a mini-refrigerator or microwave. There was plenty of room for it, so it just seemed like this hotel was being "cheap". Also, there was no free coffee to be found - but conveniently there was coffee for sale at the Starbucks located inside the hotel. Another subpar item was the required paid parking - as many others have mentioned. Very cheesy and cheap - it wasn't even through Hilton, it was through a 3rd party vendor. Hilton would have NO idea if you paid for parking or not, and who knows how often the 3rd party vendor actually does checks in the parking lot. There was tons of room for parking and there would be other ways for Hilton to keep out non-guest parking - such as physical parking passes - anyone else remember these simple slips of paper that you put on your car's dashboard?? Obviously this is too hard for Hilton. Would I stay here again - probably not, as I would like to be closer to Old Town where I could walk to restaurants and bars. So, when you're deciding on staying here, and you have a vehicle, just factor in the $15/day parking and no free coffee - not to mention no fridge nor microwave. Come on Hilton - you can do better than this!

Poor customer service at the Hilton Executives level on how parking is handled. We are Hilton members and enjoyed our nice quiet room. This was a one night to visit Ft. Collins downtown for more time in town instead of a drive up from Denver and to go home in terrible traffic. What we didn’t enjoy was being expected to use a QR code and give the same information on our IPhone at check in instead of just charging the $15 on our room. It was a long drive from Steamboat Springs and we just wanted to settle in and go downtown. We had reserved the executive floor which came with breakfast. Upon voicing respectfully our displeasure at this breach of hospitality by the hotel chain and to the manager. He gave us a complimentary breakfast card. NO, the breakfast already came with our room accommodation. This was very lame as was the powdered eggs and very poor breakfast offerings the next day. Room was quiet, clean and great but they really need to fix this. We emailed hospitality and Hilton got the same weak apology but no offer of fixing this breach. I get it, you want us to pay for parking but this is terrible, telling us a different company (3rd party) owns the parking lot that surrounds your hotel. I guess we are driving up on their drive way also as it is continuous under the portico and out into the “lot”. That is what offends me, what hotel does this…it is attached to the surround of the hotel. The other excuse was that it would keep the “students” from using this property for parking. Also challenging American hoteliers to step up their game on terrible breakfast offerings. Even 2 star European chains can offer better than this…

Good enough, but room for improvement The hotel is nice enough, but the rooms could use some updating. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. The parking was an additional fee. The weakest link was the housekeeping staff. They basically emptied the garbage, made the bed, left towels but did not do any cleaning. I requested they leave hand soap and the request was ignored. The executive lounge was good but not staffed on weekends. Most hotels keep it open for use and to grab a drink.

Absolutely fine and comfortable It was fine. Bed was comfortable, linens were of good quality. Fitness center was well-equipped with stretch cords and lower weights as opposed to the usual high weights and a couple of machines. Personnel were pleasant. E-check-in worked and the front desk person noted that he gave me a better room. Shower tub combo was adequate but drain and shower diverter were hard to operate. Also, the Cuisinart two cup auto coffeemaker was ok but would be good to supply two coffee mugs rather than plastic-wrapped paper cups, since they do have actual glasses for water. I was disappointed that the hotel said they did not have electric hot water pots. Coffee pods were actually good quality as were toiletries from Crabtree and Evelyn in large bottles.

Lacking maintenance and a fridge Went there because my husband had a work meeting and this was where everyone was staying. you have to pay for parking online. the hot tub jets were out of service for the 5 days we were there. one of the elevators was out of service most of our stay. worst of all there was no refrigerator in the rooms. the lack of a fridge and the lack of an elevator were the biggest inconveniences. there were some big groups coming in and waiting for the elevator twas taking forever, our room was on the 6th floor so we weren't taking the stairs. staff was pleasant. they didn't have touristy literature out, but when I asked for local stuff they dug a couple out for me.
