Not up to Marriott (and my) standards As long time Marriott patrons, I was disappointed with this Fairfield hotel for our one night stay. Room was adequate but certainty not Marriott quality. The shower on / off handle was broken, my wife could not figure how to turn it on as it just spun around. I managed to get it to work. Water pressure in the sink was a trickle. The absolute minimum number of towels they could give. The room ac was so noisy I was up all night. TV was great, bed was the usual comfortable, but room itself certainly not that great. Rooms need updating. Not the star level hotel it claims to be. Probably would stay elsewhere next time.

Absolutely the worst Booked this airport hotel for an 8 hour layover between Boston and Cancun, and upon arrival at the airport I called the number for the hotel shuttle pickup several times and got a voicemail saying the mailbox was full and to try again later. That’s not much help when the selling point of the hotel is shuttle service and it’s midnight. I’m livid that this hotel advertises this very basic service and then doesn’t even have a live person on the other end of the line to accept a call for said service? A cab ride around the corner to the hotel is $25. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at this chain. Useless.

Decent room, cleaned only every 7 days!!!! The room was a nice size, clean however they advertise for breakfast which they only provide a box to go with frozen bagel, cream cheese, juice box and coffee. The other more concerning thing is that they only clean the room every 7 days. This was not advertised anywhere and only when we asked the following day we were told that is the arrangements. Towels have to be requested and we had to wait until 10pm to shower as they were being washed when we called around 8pm. I would advertise that information as it is relevant and would not have stayed there although we were there for just 3 days. That was more than enough!!!

BEDBUG INFESTED This hotel is NASTY infested with BEDBUGS and the staff does not care!! I’m itching everywhere. My sister had one under her pillow. She told the staff. This hotel needs the carpets cleaned and a whole makeover! They competed the room but that is not enough!

Terrific staff, nothing else positive to report Spending one night here before a flight. I’m starting this review without actually having slept here yet, but I do want to take time to recognize the efforts of the employees I’ve encountered. I was allowed to check in a bit early, which always gets things off to a good start. There were a few minor hiccups with keys and housekeeping issues, but everything was resolved quickly and with the utmost professionalism by reception and housekeeping. That’s pretty much where the good stuff ends. The king room would have been ok, despite the banged-up furniture. But it is without a doubt the least traveler-friendly space ever. I was astonished to find NO USB ports. Nope, not even in the lamp base. NONE. Equally shocking is the shortage of standard power outlets. They are all hidden behind furniture & require unplugging a lamp or clock in order to plug in a device. This made for a stressful evening; even though I travel with a multiple-port/plug outlet, there was still the aforementioned hassle of moving nightstands, etc. It would seem that an airport-area hotel might pay particular attention to the reality that travelers typically have a lot of charging to do. Not just the phone and pc/tablet, but also the watch & that all-important power bank. Marriott-Fairfield don’t seem to be paying much attention to travelers’ needs, at this property at least. One might defend them, since they have had to concentrate on beefing up sanitation practices & protocols in the Covid era. The flaw in that defense is that upgrades were way overdue at this property long before Covid came to town. Things continued in a downhill fashion when I tried showering around 9:30pm. No hot water & very little pressure. Decided to get to sleep early. Unfortunately the AC unit made sleep a challenge. The old-school under-window unit is one more relic that needs to be retired from this property. Slept fitfully 11pm to 3:30. Thought I’d make coffee before attempting the shower again. Surprise ! There’s no place to plug in the coffee maker. It sits on the low bureau alongside the tv. There’s no doubt a power outlet in the wall behind the bureau, but the gap between furniture & wall was too narrow to even see into, much less reach into. Anyway, I had already done enough furniture shifting by this time. Finally was able to get a hot shower but still no water pressure. I took the airport shuttle 2 hours earlier than planned, relieved to get out of the Fairfield. Again, the employees here do a good job, with professionalism and attention to guest services. Unfortunately, they don’t have a very good product to work with. I hope management recognizes that their staff are the one positive in an otherwise negative experience. I honestly cannot recall a hotel stay that was sub-par on so many levels, so I cannot recommend it.
