Incredible hotel I have just completed a 6 night stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff are always available and prompt with any requests you have. They are once again offering a hot breakfast buffet that has 2 kinds of scrambled eggs and potatoes (with and without peppers and onions), turkey sausage patties and bacon, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, toast, English muffins, juice, etc. The breakfast area, and entire hotel, are kept spotless. Whether you have an intracoastal view or a "city view", the scenery from the huge balconies is gorgeous. There is a Walgreens/Walgreens liquor store within walking distance along with many bars and restaurants. The beach is about a half mile walk, and the front desk has plenty of beach chairs and beach towels available to use. The kitchen is well appointed with a Keurig coffee maker (a room previous to the one this week had a regular coffee maker, so you may want to verify with the hotel), toaster, stove top, full size fridge, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, a wine opener, plates/dishes, glasses/coffee cups, silverware, paper towels and kitchen linens. There is also a dishwasher available. The bathroom has tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner as well as body wash mounted to the shower wall in full size bottles. The pool is not huge or resort style, but it has many types of pool loungers that are both in the sun and shade. My experience has been that this is a calm, relaxed hotel that gets busier on the weekends. Please remember that many hotel staff are just coming out of a very difficult time. Many are still understaffed with limited resources that are not within their control. Patience and kindness are needed as all hotels work to bring you the kind of vacation experience you have been missing. One additional note. The nearby beach is a very "local" and usually not crowded beach. Many who go there go for those reasons. Please show respect by not putting all of your stuff down right next to someone or right in front of them when there is plenty of room to spread out.

You are not welcome It started already at the front desk where I was asked to sign a policy document. Based on their policy they must have a lot if issues with their guests and it didn’t make me feel welcome at all. Got to my room and it is not prepared feather free as agreed, and on top of that one of my pillows are very dirty (see picture) I guess it is all about expectations, and this property, nor it’s Managment doesn’t live up to what I have come to expect from Residence Inn. Nor a $450 / night property.

Unexpected 2.5 - 3 star quality My stay at the Residence Inn was mediocre. Pros: location, the gym, valet guys Cons: outdated rooms, dirty floors, bedding, curtains, dishes, broken fridge, broken microwave etc. Much of the staff needs customer service coaching. Manu were rude. -the bed was uncomfortable. My lady experienced back pain after the 2nd night. -Most disappointing, the website stated there was hot breakfast and we learned upon arrival there was none. -We usually experience better status at Marriott vs Hiltom. But this time, it was but the case. Shocking and disappointing. One staff member, Stacey was rude when we asked some questions and normal assistance. Upon checking out I met Denea and Erika who were the most pleasant staff members. Wish they were there a little earlier during my stay. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you're looking for a place to lay your head and be near the beach then okay. Other than that good luck.

Part work, part family. I have been staying at this property, originally called the Il Lugano Hotel, since it opened. My original stays were excellent, the facility was clean, well cared for, with an attentive staff, and had a bit of a vibe. My last 2 stays, particularly this one, since Marriott began managing, have been disappointing; the facility feels run down, the rooms & bathrooms are tired and worn. Upon entering the room, there were still crumbs on the carpet, the sink would not drain and the hook on the bathroom door was broken. Additionally, I was unaware (maybe my oversight) that room service was not provided unless requested. While housekeeping was able to drain the sink, the broken hook on the door was never attended to. Given the price of the stay was not inexpensive, the value received was sub par. I would consider this a budget hotel with higher end pricing.
