Americas Best Value Inn Ft. Myers

AMERICA !! DISRESPECTED IN MY OWN COUNTRY & TO TOP IT OFF MY HOMETOWN OF 51 YEARS !!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! I HAVE WORKED IN GHI Where do I begin !! I'm a lee county florida native resident all 51 years of my life and 5 Generations from this area right here ! This is the my first time staying at an American Best Value:( The experience was disheartening and disappointing. I was pretty much treated like I was in there country!! FYI! DO NOT STAY HERE !!TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THIS !! DON'T STAY !!

Traumatic experience From the minute we arrived until the minute we left - awful. Pulled into the car park and immediately witnessed a drug deal there, I hadn't even switched off the engine. Waited for those people to disperse before entering the reception which was deserted. I heard a voice coming from the ATM and realised it was a sort of kiosk with a face on it saying I must check in there. OK. Having booked with Booking.com I only had their reference which the person didn't really want. They then wanted a copy of my passport, a copy of my drivers licence and to provide a credit card. The whole process was completely impersonal and cold. The machine spat out a key card and the person disappeared on-screen, I didn't even know what room number I was assigned! Thankfully it was not e receipt. When I got back to the car my partner said they didn't want to stay here anymore after witnessing the drug deal and there wee some very shady people sitting by the pool. I managed to convince them it'd be ok and we can just go into the room and stay there. Room was OK, air con was jet-engine loud. We decided to push the couch up again the front door for extra security. After travelling all day we just wanted to relax however at around 11pm somebody tried to enter our room through the adjoining room, they attempted several times and only stopped when I yelled and banged on the door to tell them to stop. I called reception to report this but there was no answer. I called agin ten minuted later, still no answer. I wanted to go over to reception but my partner didn't want to be left alone in the room. I was gonna call the cops but being British (I was on on a stop-over to Miami) I didn't think it would make much difference. We had an extremely restless night and left at around 07:30 the next morning (after arriving at 20:30 the night before. It's the worst $100odd I've ever spent and quite traumatic tbh.Sufice to say we won't be back or in fact use this brand of hotels again.

HORRIBLE PLACE DON'T STAY!!! NO SERVICE NO DESK CLERK AND THE ROOMS ARE GROSS AND FULL OF BUGS! I HAVE PHOTOS 2 PROVE I Tried to charge for a service dog WHICH IS AGAINST FLORIDA LAW!!!! For the 1st time in my life I saw a room first before paying!!! We didn't stay!! No one is at the front desk you talk to a screen with a guy wanting us to put and extra $200 dollars in a machine to pay for our service dog!! Like we would ever get that back!!! Place is smelly gross and full of bugs and I mean everywhere upon my room inspection. Do yourself a big big favor and stay clear of this place unless you want to be eaten alive by bed bugs and have roaches crawling all over you. Place is not just a dump but a rip off scam as well.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. GOT RIPPED OFF AND FOUND A BUG IN THE BED. We had two nights booked with family and friends. When we checked in it took over an hour to do so. When we were finally checked in and went to our room we found a bug in the bed and the toilet had urine in it. We went to the front desk to complain and demanded our money back. They refused to refund both nights and would only refund the second night. We argued with management and still they refused. We called an Uber and moved to the Holiday Inn Express, which was wonderful. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. DIRTY AND BUGS, AND TERRIBLE SERVICE BY STAFF. They showed us two more rooms as per their policy and they were no better.

Stayed for 20 days and delighted We arrived from U.K. to be confronted by a television screen for automatic check in the guy on screen was efficient and we got our keys We were wrongly apprehensive about the hotel The place is so clean we had clean towels and sheets everyday the room is large with everything you need ,microwave, coffee maker fridge freezer,very comfortable bed excellent air on hot or cold Parking outside our room . The pool area is small and there is a barbecue facility, I cannot recommend this motel highly enough
