worst hotel ever in the world We made a reservation for four rooms weeks ahead of time for Friday to Sunday which we do all the time for work in different cities. We come in from dinner Saturday night, headed to our room and none of our keys worked. So we go down to the front desk and Tarryn informs us that our booking was not held for two nights, even though we showed her our email confirmation showing two nights stay. In the meantime they had "extended the stay" at a much higher rate for three of the rooms, without asking first and charged the credit cards. But they came and removed my belongings from my room, without notifying or asking anyone first. They had my suitcase and makeup bag behind the counter and would not bring it out. She accused me of leaning across the counter, which was a complete lie, and said she was calling the cops which she also did not do as there was no justified reason. They charged me for two nights at this point, with two different rates, and then gave my room away and locked me out. Mariana, the general manager, came in and stated that there were no available rooms and I had no room to sleep in. She finally brought my suitcase out from the back room and when we asked her if there was anything at all they would do to compensate us for the loss of the room and time and removing things without permission, she informed us there was nothing she would do. I then had to sleep in my car as there were no other rooms available at any other hotel in the area. I work strictly commission in sales, so my next day's work was extremely compromised due to lack of sufficient sleep.

Comfortable and Clean Accommodations were clean and comfortable. I was surprised -- a nice surprise -- that rooms are cleaned daily. As in most hotels, the bathroom floor was sticky. The only real complaint I have is both mornings there was a shortage of coffee. The second morning there was a very long wait for the coffee to brew and be refilled. The explanation I was given was "our brewer is very slow." Okay, so use something larger to brew the coffee. How hard is that?

Terrible customer service We love going to Fredericksburg to relax and unwind. We are rarely in our room but want something comfortable, clean and affordable. From the looks of the empty boxes piled by the dumpster, it looked like the hotel got new TVs. What they did not do was actually set the TVs up so customers could use them. We asked to have it fixed and when we got back to the hotel one say, the tc was on but as soon as we turned it off it was inoperable. Remotes didn’t work, no signal etc. We asked for help and the sweet young girl at the front desk tried to help but there was really no one to help. We asked again but tv wasn’t fixed so we gave up. Upon our checkout there was an middle aged woman at the desk. I mentioned what happened. She never offered an apology or a concern. I said that it was sad that she didn’t not seem to care. Her rude response was “well we are always full!” Needless to say, we will not return.

There’s a nice Hilton down the road Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk seemed jostled and overwhelmed. This was evident in the way she spoke to us and did not feel welcoming at all. I get it, you feel overwhelmed, we all do once in awhile. You hate your job, I get it, I hate mine sometimes too. If I had to drink this terrible coffee every morning, I'd be in a pretty bad mood as well. But I digress... We were told there was only one person performing housekeeping duties and that we may be able to check into our room at the allotted time or we may have to wait depending on when they could get to the room. The people who checked in before us were turned away for another 30 minutes until their room could be cleaned. They were severely understaffed for the business they expect. I was also told to get breakfast when I could because they may run out - take that for what you will. UPDATE: there's no breakfast and I've added my coffee jab above.

Friendly and accommodating The staff was very helpful getting us a room when we got snowed in during the record breaking snowfall of 2021. Mariona, the manager on staff was helpful and friendly. She made a very scary situation to the best stay we could ask for. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The microwave and refrigerator came in very handy. I’ll stay again.
