Do not stay at this hotel! When we arrived at this hotel at approximately 1:15 PM on a Saturday there was no one at the desk. I rang a buzzer and about two or three minutes later a very disheveled man came out. I told him we were checking in and handed him 2 printed confirmations for the 2 rooms that I had reserved. One for a king bed and another room for two queen bed for my mom and her friend. There were several key cards laid out on the counter, from which the man handed me two of them. I went to my mom‘s room first and found that the air conditioning was not working, so I went back to the desk and told him that she needed another room with working air conditioning. He oddly looked at the remaining key cards that were on the counter and just grabbed one and handed it to me. When I went to that room, I discovered that it had a king size bed. I went back to the front desk and reminded him I needed a room with two queens. He looked at the remaining key cards that were laying on the counter and handed me another one. We finally got my mom in her room, but I felt very uneasy and asked my husband to take my mom‘s key card and see if it would unlock any other rooms. Sure enough that key card opened up the first room that husband went to!! When I went back to the desk to tell the man what was going on, the man told me he called for the manager to come help us. When the woman manager came I told her what happened and she explained to us that he had mistakenly programmed the master key for my mom’s key card. This just left a very, very uneasy feeling for us. If we were not in a hurry to get to a wedding, we would have left and gone somewhere else. Also, at one point, the man followed me to one of the rooms, and I could clearly smell alcohol in his breath. I am part owners in a business that sells alcohol, so I am very clear on what I was smelling. The room looked updated and seemed pretty clean, although the Headboard on one of the beds look like it had some fingerprints on it. All in all the check-in process left us incredibly uneasy and I felt unsafe especially for my 86-year-old mom to be in that room overnight. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We later found out that there were two other hotels up the road that we did not know about Until we were in the area to check in. We were from a different state and as I said, came in just for a wedding.
