Edgewater Hotel - Gatlinburg

Walking distance to everything Clean rooms, nice front desk service, walking distance to the attractions. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. I rated this 4 stars because of the loud air conditioning unit in the room and the elevators were slow. The breakfast is good enough.

Excellent Hotel with even better location Perfectly located in the middle of Galtenburg Tennessee, near to many restaurants, shops and tourist attractions, yet still very quiet. There is a pool area which is very nice, vending machines on all floors, an excellent breakfast and friendly staff

Friendly staff, great location and nice views. This is a return visit for me. I came back because of the great location, large, very clean rooms with beautiful views and a great pool. The main reason I returned was the friendly and welcoming staff at the hotel. Special shout and thank you to Robbie at the front desk for being so welcoming and friendly.

Good stay, Great location. Arrived the same time as several busloads of teens so checking in was a bit chaotic. We spent too long waiting on one of the 2 elevators - not enough for a hotel this size. Also, parking deck was free parking....but spots were VERY small. Breakfast was very good both mornings and the workers constantly putting out fresh food. Hotel room was old, but clean. Fireplace was not working but the maintenance guy fixed it for us pretty quickly. The pilot light went out again the next night but we used a lighter and got it lit ourselves (WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING). Overall, a good, clean, comfortable stay that won't break the bank.

Cons and pros, long story I have pros and cons about the hotel, would I stay here again I could, but not my top place. Everything seem well clean, I have no complaints. I do feel like it needs a good color lift, yellow walls aren't comfortable feeling. The worst part of the hotel is the elevator! It's the longest waiting elevator I've been on. Lots of people took the stairs, but unfortunately we were on the 8th floor. I feel like the elevator could get a nice cleaning each morning or late night. This elevator is shared with the pool floor, the rugs in the elevator hadn't looked clean the whole weekend. Like I've said it was clean, the room was clean and bathroom. The bed was nice and pillows. Plenty of towels. Room cons, the fireplace only stays on for 60mins I wanted to sleep with it on. I understand the reasons why it's this way. Other downside to fireplace was to view it you have to sit in a chair to enjoy, no view from the bed. Our shower water didn't drain great nor the bathroom sink. Tv was ok, but the subtitles would not turn off while we tried muilt times. Also the bed on had 1 side table and are not USB updated in the rooms. We were asked to put our trash and towels outside the hallway which we did but thats bs. I do not want to walk up the hallways with bags of trash and towel out dirty towels. Then if towels are put outside thinking they will come in to replace/pick up..no they just throw the new towels in a trash bag and put by the door for you to pick up. Long story, perfect location to walk all of Gatlinburg. Great for a quick weekend.
