Regular stop with a new friendly face. This is a normal stop in my travels and I just felt inclined to write a quick review because Yvette was incredibly wonderful during the entire check in process and was just a great personality to have in front of your guests. I always enjoy staying at this Hampton Inn but her smile made it even better. Additionally, this location still has cookies which is a nice treat when you get off the road for 5 hours! Even though they are currently undergoing renovations they keep it confined neat and still quiet, don’t let that deter you from staying!

Good location to chain restaurants Currently under renovation and rooms were updated. Pool was closed but gym was new with up to 75lb dumbbells. Breakfast was average Hampton Inn with the famous waffle irons. Staff was decent but preoccupied most of the time. Parking onsite.

Worst Hotel Experience Hotel is apparently under some type of renovation which I was not made aware. No closet rod in closet to hang clothes, shower door would not stay closed, digital key didn’t work, gym was not what is shown on website photos, my room was a connecting room which was not shown on floor plan when room booked. Reported all my concerns twice to very inattentive front desk staff and nothing was done. Never acknowledge my Diamond member status, checked out three days early to move to another hotel, couldn’t print my receipt, and didn’t care that I was leaving due to the hotel being unacceptable.

Hotel is being renovated It's challenging to review this hotel because I stayed there for a marathon, likely causing elevated prices, and the hotel is being renovated, which was disclosed, but which still impacts stay quality. Basically, the review reflects what it is: adequate if you are just looking for a decent place to stay for a night. The location is fine, nowhere near anywhere you'd want to go, but close to the highway and a bunch of restaurants, a few within walking distance, as it's tucked behind a strip mall. It was about a 15-minute drive to downtown Richmond. The property didn't seem excessively outdated, as the bathroom was reasonably updated and there were ample USD and other outlets. The HVAC is "in transition" from radiator to wall unit and the functions were basically heat/AC on or off only. The room was otherwise basic - not even a pen and notepad. I left before the breakfast started. It served its purpose but I would not stay here more than one night.

Good stay Good stay. There were renovations going on which we were aware of, but the room was clean and amenities were acceptable. Location was great, breakfast was good and staff were helpful. The door to our room was very hard to open and close, but overall it was a good stay.
