GREAT STAY Beautiful hotel! The rooms could use some updating, but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were large and very clean. Breakfast was excellent! The lady making omelets was a delight, she seemed like the happiest person in the hotel. Can't say enough about their breakfast, the best we've experienced.

Filthy , worn down hotel. Absolutely filthy hotel. I’ve been a Hilton Diamond traveler for quite some time, and this is the worst Embassy Suites property I’ve visited. Urine smell in bathroom, can literally see the build up behind the toilet. Sheets not changed (candy wrappers were the dead giveaway). Grime and dirt build up on every non-flat surface (think light switches, remote control, etc). Cracks and scuffs and wear and tear everywhere. You literally have to call maintenance to visit your room if you don’t like the room temperature. There is no way to control yourself. That’s a new concept Hilton, good luck with it! Find another property is my strong recommendation.

Overall a great choice **Review of Greenville Embassy Suites by Hilton Golf and Conference Center** My recent stay at the Greenville Embassy Suites offered a generally pleasant experience with a few noteworthy details. While I’m accustomed to using e-check-in, the keycard system was down due to a door lock replacement project. This meant I had to provide a credit card for incidentals—something I haven’t needed to do in nearly a year. The check-in process itself, however, was smooth, with friendly front desk staff who recognized my Gold status and even provided two complimentary bottles of water, a gesture I hadn’t encountered in quite a few recent stays. **Room Amenities and Cleanliness** The room, located on the 8th floor, was spacious and clean. It included a living room area with a glass window facing the hallway (covered by a curtain for privacy), a pull-out sofa, coffee table, dining table, kitchenette, and ample lighting options. I appreciated the coffee maker with a pull-out cartridge filter, as it felt more sanitary than the typical pod machines. **Bathroom and Bedroom Features** The bathroom had standard amenities, with an added nightlight for convenience. In the bedroom, I found an alarm clock with AC outlets, USB, and USB-C ports, which was quite handy. Additionally, there was a wireless phone charging deck with more AC outlets, making it easy to keep devices powered up. **Breakfast and Dining Options** The breakfast buffet was a highlight, running until 10:00 a.m., which is later than most hotels and allowed for a more relaxed morning. The buffet included a custom-made station for pancakes and omelets, plus a variety of options like bacon, sausage, fresh fruits, and breads. Staff in the breakfast area were especially friendly, creating a positive atmosphere. The only downside was the coffee machine, which serves instant coffee rather than fresh-brewed. **Convenience and Suggestions** A small convenience store behind the front desk provided easy access to snacks, and overall, every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. However, the lock replacement process could have been managed better. After replacing my room lock, I was instructed to go back to the front desk to obtain a new key. A text alert or pre-made key would have been much more convenient, especially for guests returning with luggage in hand. In summary, this Embassy Suites offers a solid stay with welcoming staff, clean rooms, and a great breakfast setup. A few adjustments in communication and planning around their lock replacement process would enhance the guest experience.

We'll definitely stay here again This is a nice, full service hotel that isn't too far from downtown Greenville. They have a great free breakfast. Lots of open lobby space for gathering with friends and family. The suites are very nice sized. The staff were very friendly with the exception of the person who checked us in. We were especially impressed with the breakfast staff who kept the buffet filled and worked hard to clear our plates so we could get more. It was a full house the night we were there and with the exception of some youth travel team kids running in the hallways (it didn't go too late), it was quiet and a nice environment. Indoor and outdoor pool. A nice bar with friendly staff. Our only complaint was with the person who checked us in. He seemed to be pretty rigid about his "script" and didn't really respond to humor. I had trouble getting out my ID because of an injury and he wouldn't accept my spouse's ID. Definitely an emphatic rule follower (I showed him my ID but it is very difficult to get out of my wallet). My fault yes but his response was very black and white. He then proceeded to tell us what we DON'T get (points, rewards) because we booked through an external site. I'll never understand it when guest services staff focus on the negatives instead of sharing all of the great things that we DO get. Later, as we waited for the bar to open and the rest of our party to arrive, we purchased grab and go canned drinks from the lobby. When we were ready to leave, I went up to the desk to ask where I could throw away the cans. Instead of him offering to take them (again, basic customer service) he directed me to the receptacle OUTSIDE the hotel. First world issues of course and it didn't impact our stay at all but definitely a teachable moment for this guest facing staff. GREAT system of texts while you are staying to ask how things are going, reminder about check out, etc. and they respond back so while probably automated, someone is reading them.

Not a fan of undisclosed charges Sneaky - Trying to slide in a $6.00 parking charge for a surface lot that has always been free with no confirmation at the front desk that I parked a car. Seems very dishonest at worst sneaky at best. I know $6.00 is not a big deal to most but it is definitely unnecessary at this property.
