comfortable We lost power at home due to a storm. Pet friendly so we could take our beagle Lucy. She was very happy to go with us.

Horrible experience We stayed 3 nights with Hawthorne. This is usually our first pick. However, the 2nd night of being there the air conditioning stopped work. The temp outside had been well over 90 degrees. We informed the front desk. Nothing was done until after we left and had to call corporate.

Priced Too High Priced too high for quality. For the age and condition of this hotel, I would expect the price to be around $70 at the maximum. Man at the desk on third shift was not knowledgeable of the property or the area.

Disaster to delight We ended up having to downgrade and change rooms b/c the air wasn't working and mosquitos were biting us. The second room was much better and we even extended our stay one more night. Directly under the first room.

You Get What You Pay For The property is very dated and rundown. The price was excellent for the area, but only because of the substandard accommodations. The property has great potential and was probably very nice 20 years ago; however, it seems no money has been reinvested for upkeep. Don't expect to swim, because the pool is permanently closed. We requested a crib and got a filthy playpen. There was one washcloth in the room and no bedding for the playpen of sofa bed. The room layout is very nice and functional, large full sized kitchen, spacious vanity area, and good breakfast.
