Clean and safe A last minute trip to the coast had us searching for an inexpensive place to stay for a few days. The hotels along the gulf coast were ridiculously expensive, so we started looking for a room inland. Christina was so helpful and made sure we were satisfied with our room. Nothing fancy, clean comfortable bed, clean bathroom, coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave. One negative: the floor was vacuumed but needed a good mopping.

Buyer Beware! An unfortunate review. Let me start by saying I had a very long day of travel yesterday. I was in 4 different airports. It was a 20-hour day. That being said. During one of my layovers, I tried to find a reasonably priced motel in Gulfport, MS for one night. I asked the owner when I checked in at 2 am if I could have a late check out into the afternoon if I were willing to pay an extra fee. He said it shouldn't be a problem to stay until 2 pm or 3 pm for $30 or $40. Keep in mind the room rate is $89.99. I got the key. It was apparent there are people staying here for "extended" periods of time. When I got in the room, I was greeted by the wonderfully working air conditioner. The room appeared ok. I was hopeful. Then I made the mistake of turning the bed down. I was greeted by hair throughout. Let's just say I could tell what ethnicity the night before. Coils and coils of hair. I pulled the comforter down further and there was sand and residue at the foot of the bed. The sheets had not been changed. I went to go to the bathroom. There is mildew growing in several places in the tub. The bathmat was blackened on the edges. And the floor mat towel was dirty. The bathroom doorknob was hanging on the door. The doors throughout were painted but curling at the bottoms more than my hair in the Mississippi humidity. Just when I thought hair was contained to the king-size bed, I was greeted with long straight hair on the bathtub's edge. The pillows on the bed were clean and smelled fresh. I took those 4 pillows and sat in the cool room until morning. As I was sitting there, I began sneezing and coughing. I even got sick. I soon realized that the cold A/C was pumping out mold spores into the air. I did not ask for another room. It was 3 am. I was all in. I sat in the chair and waited it out. The reason I didn't ask for another room. Frankly, I looked around the complex and the entire area looked the same. Could the next room be even worse? I did not want to find out. I am saddened by this review as I always advocate for owners of small businesses rather than corporate giants. This is a lovely couple who owns this place. They work the front desk themselves. I told them about all of what I found. I am not hopeful however even though they were nice. I felt as if they could see 1/100th of what I saw if they inspected a couple of rooms per day for quality control. They offered no refund. No discount. They did say they were sorry. When I left to get a coffee at the Krispy Kreme next door, it appeared to be their vehicles parked out front. They were both BMWs. Cheap motels must still make money in the US. I would not stay at this motel again if I was given a free room. All the best to them.

Go Elsewhere Extremely run down For $156 this was NOT worth it. The beds, linens, towels and toilet were clean. Only thing we needed at this late night with a downstairs room. Pictures posted are from room 112 So much mold and filth. I don't think anything is taken care of. It's a shame as this used to be a great place to stay.

Decent stay , no problems Good check in. Room was clean and well stocked. Good internet. Decent tv. Good shower and bed but really small pillows. Near airport but quiet. Normal low tier breakfast but did the job. HC accessibility was good. Well lighted outside at night.
