Dirty & Grubby - that’s the condition of the hotel and not 2 cartoon characters! Ridiculously outdated hotel next to absolutely nothing within walking distance. Dirty carpets, out of date furnishings and very challenging location to find. Thin linens and towels and basically a 1 star hotel. Thankfully I only stayed one night ! Elevator has been on the fritz for 2 years !

Hard to find I arrived in Halifax after dark and took a bus to the city centre. It took nearly as long to find the hotel entrance as it did to get from the airport to the city. You have to enter a different hotel and then cross the street via an overpass. The escalators were turned off at night and it was not easy to find the elevator. Then to get to the hotel lobby, once again the escalators were not working and it was nit easy to find the elevator. Even during the daytime, you have to walk through a shopping centre to get to the street. Once you get outside, then the location is good. It was a short walk to the Citadel and the Waterfront. The rooms themselves are OK, but could use updating. The hotel elevators were a problem, too. In addition to taking a long time to come, if you politely wait until all of the passengers exit the elevator, then the doors close before you can enter!

Maze to get in and out Due to the construction it wasn't very easy to find the entrance. But once we arrived, the hotel was pleasant. The elevators were a disaster and often took us 15 to 20 minutes in line for an elevator. Stairs were not an option as it was 15 flights of stairs just to get to the first floor. Rooms were nice but dated. Not as easily accessible to the harbor front or boardwalk as expected as you had to walk through multiple different buildings, through tunnels and overpasses just to get there. Parking was in a multiplex parking lot next door. The hotel wouldn't validate my parking for a cheaper rate but then they did on the next day. It was a hit or miss with the front desk, depending on who you got.

THE WORST HOTEL OF OUR WHOLE HOLIDAY - AVOID. Most horrendous Hotel we've ever stayed in. Building work on main highway directly outside Hotel that will last for years. Almost impossible to walk in to Halifax or waterfront without a huge walk through the adjacent mall, same on the way back even late at night. The Hotel restaurant is sub-let and is abysmal, poor food, terrible breakfast, even worse service and huge prices. Hotel lifts were a nightmare, either not working or so slow as to scream. Staff at reception could not care less. The whole experience was our worst stay on an otherwise lovely holiday. Find better!

Mediocre at best Just ok. Hotel is tired and in desperate need of upgrades. The room was spacious but with the smallest bathroom on the planet. The towels were thin and worn. When we asked for clean towels as they do not provide housekeeping for more than one night stays, they brought us 2 towels 3 1/2 hours later.Just know this is a mediocre place at best, totally surrounded by construction that went on throughout the night! The “harbour view” was mostly a concrete building with a sliver of the waterfront. Would not stay again.
