Great location Great location and close to many shops and restaurants. Lots of bars nearby but the windows are very soundproof. Our only concern was the slow pace at the breakfast bar; a list of menu items would be beneficial instead of everyone having to ask what's available.

residence inn sleepless night The good- location location location, if you are in town for some partying and do not plan to be sleeping then this is your hotel! Located right in the action with views all around. Room was very large, well equipped and clean. Comfortable bed The bad- check in was over 2 hours late, no explanation of property or anything was given, simply given keys. Lots of smell in hallway, bags of dirty laundry that didn’t leave all night sitting out by the doors. We booked a pub crawl package and was told by front desk that they didn’t have our gift cards. ( 2x$25) local pub vouchers. the view was great like I mentioned but it came with lots of noise all but a couple hours all night/morning. They were sold out so room change was not an option Unfortunately with the terrible wait time, customer service and dirty main areas we will choose another property next time

Worse hotel ever I am travelling with my wife, my 4 months old daughter and my 2 yesrs old boy. As our flight landed around 10pm, we advised the hotel that we will be late arrival. We booked because we need the kitchen space to sanitize baby bottles. When we arrive around 11:15pm on Friday Aug 6, the front desk staff told us our reservation has been cancelled. Upon asking why it was cancelled he said he doesnt know. I contacted expedia as I booked with them and was told the reservation is still active and it is still showing on my app as active. When i called back and ask the front desk to check again they said they have no room for us. They directed us to the Hampton inn and said they will take care of 1 night charge. For me thats not acceptable, not only that Hampton Inn doesnt have a kitchen that we need, we are also forced to pay best available rate at Hampton Inn for the next few days. We are booked for 6 nights. Travelling with kids are already a hassle and then the hotel told us that they dont have a room for us. Not even an apologize. We were told most hotels are sold out and we have to stay at Hampton Inn. I'm sorry but I have hospitality background too. Your desk will only walk a guest to a different hotel if you are oversold. If it is expedia's fault you wont even offered to pay for my first night. If you are going to walk a guest please make sure the hotel you walk them to have what they need. I may sound rude telling you all these but imagine trying to find a hotel for your family around midnight. And yes I must point my finger at your fda. Admit you oversold and walk your guest is one thing but lied to your guest and told me that you dont know why the res was cancelled? Regards, Howie

Lovely hotel shame about litter A lovely hotel, clean inside, our room had a small kitchen which was great. Bed was large & comfortable & bathroom was new with large shower. Very well situated. Bus stop just down the road which goes to any place, including airport, that you may want to travel to. Staff were friendly. Lifts & stairs well situated. The only downfall which was a big one, was there were 2 bins outside in the very nice public courtyard which were not emptied & had litter flowing out of them. The seagulls would get the litter out & it was strewn all up the steps leading to the hotel. I did say to the receptionist about it, she said they go out every few hours & clear it up, but for the days we were there it had not been cleared away & it got worse.

A wonderful stay I stayed at the Residence Inn for 3 nights in early July. The location is ideal for exploring Halifax and the staff we fantastic. Despite COVID, the hotel has taken every reasonable step to provide a fantastic breakfast. Having just stayed in half a dozen plus hotels in the last 2 weeks, I can say that the Residence Inn Breakfast was the best. It was varied, and plentiful so you don't get tired of the options after the first day. The rooftop patio was a nice way to look over the city and comes complete with a BBQ for those so inclined.
