Worst Customer Service Possible BEWARE! As you can see by the other reviews, this place has a problem taking reservations - or more to the point, keeping reservations. After booking our room in April through the booking partner on their website, we immediately received a "guaranteed reservation" confirmation email and our credit card was debited. Then only a few days before our arrival date in late June, I get a call and email from the owner saying that our room was "doubled booked" and there was nothing she could do. Plus she told me that it was "up to us" to get a refund from the booking partner. At first that seemed to be a straight enough process - though they tried to keep their service fee! - that told me they would refund my money after getting confirmation from the hotel that the no refund policy was being removed. Weeks go by and we got the same message every day - they were unable to contact the hotel. When I reached out to the owner she told me that her phone "blocked their calls because they were marketing calls!" When I finally told her that we would be forced to take legal action to get our money back, she told me to stop threatening her and then said - in an email - that we gave up our room and she graciously allowed it to happen! Now I have her original email and voice mail - which I will gladly share with anyone who wants it - where she told us we did not have room and there was "nothing she could do." While based on the many negative reviews of people who actually stayed here, it may have been a blessing in disguise, though until we get our money back this remains a nightmare. The total lack of customer service on both the establishment and the booking partner is beyond belief. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE unless you want to be taken for a ride. We ended up having to find other accommodations at a nice, but very overpriced nearby Best Western.

Disappointing I booked this B&B in April of this year. We visited July 30 - August 1 for a long weekend. We were told we were getting a queen room with garden view. Upon arrival, we are alone. I called the number and left a message and I got a call back saying that our room might not be ready by 4 but she will try. Hmmm.. I put in the notes IN APRIL that we will be arriving early and that I had a severe wheat allergy. I got a call at 3:55 that our room was ready. She was in her car in the driveway when we arrived and were told the following: we have been upgraded to a king, the house has been fully rented by another family, there is no breakfast served but she had placed some fruit and pastries in our room. She placed the key in an envelope on the step outside the carriage house room and she drove away, leaving us to figure it out. We went into our "upgraded" room to find a king bed in a single room and a bathroom in the Carriage House. This was our upgrade? No access to the house for any kind of living room or dining room or food. There were 2 bananas and a pack of strawberries, two muffins and a pack of four croissants.... for 4 days... and none of the pastries were gluten free. No coffee served and no coffee pot in the room. We basically had a space to sleep in but no comforts of any kind. To rest during the day our options were to sit outside in the heat, sit on the edge of our bed, or drive around to find a place to sit. We spent as little time on this property as possible, only there to shower and sleep. We had to go to town for all food and beverages and had to drive to find rest places since we had no access to the house or its amenities. We were told the Carriage house is empty and we have the place to ourselves.. confusing since we only have a key to one tiny room. The next day 2 couples show up who rented the other space of the carriage house. They were confused and frustrated. That night (as we were not at the room all day bc of the set up) we realized there is one locked door in our bathroom between us and the other rented space. All conversations and sounds could be heard. We now had to close the bathroom door in the evening leaving us with a room large enough for a king bed - Claustrophobic and confining to say the least. I booked this company 4 months in advance. I expected some care to be taken as you are essentially homeless when you travel. We will not book at this B&B again.

Quaint B&B My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Our room was cozy and clean. We were greeted when we arrived and given a tour of the house along with a brief history of the home, then shown to our room. We stayed in the Alexander Graham Bell room. It was cute and quaint. We enjoyed the walking distance to downtown Hammondsport. We walked to dinner each night we were there.

Enjoyable Stay Girls trip! This was a quirky, interesting place to stay for sure. Not being real familiar with a B&B, we didn’t know what to expect. It was a great location in the quaint, “Hallmark“ town of Hammondsport NY. The two ladies that ran the place, the innkeeper and her mother were eccentric but went out of their way to help us enjoy our visit. Our trip wouldn’t have been the same if we would have stayed somewhere else!
