One night at this hotel We spent one night at this hotel this past weekend as we visit Hershey. Overall our room was clean but need updating. The bed sheet and pillowcases were clean except a blood stain on one of the blanket\comforter. It is about 30 minutes drive to Hershey and about 10 mins drive to all the supermarkets (Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club) so it is convenient.

Mrs Customer service was horrible. The room was dirty. I was supposed to stay two nights only stayed one but I still had to pay for two. Don't stay here. Look at the pictures called the front desk to advise them and he practically said I was lying.

You Get What You Pay For! I guess... My family of four stayed 1 night at this inn. “ An Inn is a smaller hotel type lodging that does not have any 'star ratings'.” -UpJourney I found this establishment via useAAmiles.com I filtered hotels by their stars. Country Inn was rated 4 stars. I usually read reviews and take other people’s experiences with a grain of salt. There were a couple bad reviews but most were positive. I’m glad we were only booked for 1 night because I just couldn’t have stayed more than 24 hours. First I called the front desk around 11am to see if I was able to check in early. Now I know hotels do not have to let you check in early but some do. The front desk associate told me that “they didn’t do early check-ins on the weekends.” Okay, no problem. 3pm is okay. We’ll find something else to do until then. We pull up at 3pm and I approach the counter to check in, immediately was asked to come back in 10 mins. No explanation was given. And I was the only person at the counter and in the lobby or there than the employee. 12 minutes later I come back to check in. There are now two employees behind the counter. The 2nd begins to check me in but isn’t quite sure how to do so since I pre-paid (with miles). They put their two heads together, place a hold on my card for incidentals and issue my keys. Next, I specifically chose this hotel because their listed stated they offered Bed & Breakfast. When we travel we try to do things differently than what we do at home, because we’re on vacation. So if my wife and I can get out of preparing a meal for the kids by paying extra to stay at a place that offers food, we’ll do it. So I ask about Bed & Breakfast. The front desk person said because of COVID they had to shut down their breakfast bar and what not but will give us some breakfast food in the morning I just needed to come and pick it up. Okay cool. The morning rolled around, I asked for four. An employee passed me four bags. I got to the room, poured out the contents of the bag and low and behold some snacks! Some snacks to hold me over until I can get to a restaurant I guess. (1) 12oz water, (1) Orange, (1) Nutrigrain bar, and (1) package of blue berry muffins. Definitely not worth the miles (money)! Alright let’s talk about our room. I reserved a King Suite with pull out couch. The room seemed okay at first glance. Since COVID you have to take extra precautions. I’m sure they probably cleaned the room, but we took a few extra steps and Lysol’s everything before being the kids and our stuff in. Before it got too late I wanted to get the couch bed situated, but to my knowledge there was not extra linen in the room. So I head back to the front desk. I request sheets and pillows. I received sheets and no pillows. They were out of pillows! Okay mind you, all four of my people are on the rental because we needed four meal vouchers and pillows. Our king bed came with 4 flat a$$ pillows, my wife and I lent our kids 2 pillows and I had to fold my jacket up like a 2nd pillow. The king bed was hard as sh*t! I’ve slept better in the fields of Camp Pendleton! I usually love sleeping at hotels because the beds were so comfortable. This was not the case! I am dog tired today because of the lack of sleep I received last night. My kids complained too, but it was a pull out couch with memory foam. They usually don’t sleep well as it is. Now on to the bathroom. The sink was separated from the wall. The grout around the tub was brown and black. And looks like mold on the shower curtain. The pool was probably the best thing about our stay! Besides the 10-15 kids that were there when we got there! That’s probably why Country Inn was out of pillows. I saw the owner after I checked in and he said they had a hard time last year with COVID and what not. I don’t really know how PA handled COVID. I would assume when no guests are in the building, that would be the best time to do maintenance and stocking. All in all, do your research and spend your money wisely.

Awful Experience - Stay away TLDR - this hotel is struggling and it shows. Hotel itself was adequate. Lots of damage throughout the hotel on doors and windows, etc. Pool was fine but the spa was being serviced the entire trip we were there (3 nights) and no-one was ever around to service it. Room HVAC made disturbing noise and would not respond to temperature or fan changes. The cleaning staff was super helpful. Most of the office staff was rude and exhaustive to talk and work with. I felt as tho we was bothering them even tho we were helping them be employed. Even funnier, the hotel office staff put a sign on the window stating that they were away for a little bit to help a customer. When we inquired with a non-office hotel staff, they mentioned that they were in fact gone for at least 3 hours. Left the hotel. Gone. Who knows what people did when the arrived at the hotel during this time? One gentlemen (may have been manager) was extremely helpful and polite on the last day of checkout, but it was too late. We were ready to leave. My biggest complaint is that the hotel charged an extra $50 a day (on top of what we already agreed to pay for) for incidental fees. After a few days these fees would be released by the hotel - however we would still need to call our credit card company to get them released! Its a racket. If it was a solid hotel and experience I would say it was worth it but we have stayed in similar hotels in the area for cheaper with a much a better experience.

Find another place to stay We travel with my kid’s hockey team. We had a tournament nearby and this is one of the approved hotels. Upon checking in we are handed a list that says kids can’t play anything, walk in the halls alone, and we can’t bring in the hockey gear from the car! Apparently last weekend some older kids who stayed here did a number on the hotel but not every group is like that! Plus, so far, our group are the ONLY guests in this hotel and they still put us all scattered amongst different floors! Then we go to get breakfast but the area is closed and no breakfast in sight. My husband then goes down and asks the guy behind the desk that ignored is be for when we went down, and he got handed a bag for each of us (we are a party of 5). A bottle of purified water, a tiny granola bar and a sealed “breakfast” thing that is all sugar (cinnamon roll, cheese danish, and honey buns)! That is what we got! No juice, nothing that will actually work as breakfast! Not even a piece of fruit! Seriously? Lady last night at check-in was super nice despite merrily looking at my kid thinking he is trouble and she “just isn’t having that”. No rollaway beds so I have a kid on the floor despite me checking off we needed one (and they literally don’t even have them here). Lady gave me 2 blankets, a sheet set and a bag of towels to use as a pillow!! A bag of towels as a pillow? Sweet thought but you really could t take some pillows from one of your 50+ empty rooms?!? Let’s add the COVID protocols say there is a door hanger and sanitizer for each room... we have neither. :/ I will definitely let the other hockey managers know this hotel is a complete no-go! With the Radisson name behind it, we assumed this would be better.
