Not deserving of the Doubletree Name I’ve started staying at Hilton properties as an Honors Member but I normally stay at hotels when traveling. This is one of the few that the experience was bad enough to warrant a negative review. Front desk clerk was nice and the cookies were good and that’s where the good ends. (That’s the two stars!) Got in at 10:45pm and hurried to the room to get in last minute room service. First our room smelled like a mix of sweat, mildew, and cat urine. There were no menus for room service so I called down anyway. No one picked up at room service or at the front desk. Internet was sporadic and kept going in and out frustrating myself and my two kiddos. Hot water also kept going in and out. The one elevator took forever as it was small and had to service all the floors plus housekeeping. Spend the extra $10-$20 and stay at a different property.

Look elsewhere The worst hotel I've ever stayed in carrying the Hilton name. The front desk clerk on evening shift was beyond rude at check in. Of all the hotels in Harrisonburg, we chose this one as Hilton honors members, glad we only stayed one night, and moved on to another hotel.

Unprofessional staff I normally stay in this hotel 2-4 times a month because of the convenience. Last night 7/16 I arrived at my hotel and went to the room with my digital key. Before going to the room I asked for my water and because I annoyed the receptionist she told me I should know it’s in the room mind you 2 weeks ago I had to get it at the desk. Got to my room and my key didn’t work. She gave me a hard copy. This occurred 4 times before I lost my temper. And slammed the key on the desk. She then stood up and started screaming at me get out get the f*** out of the hotel. At this point the bartender came over and he and the receptionist went into the back room for about 5 minutes. Then the bartender Jim told me to leave or the would call the police and press charges. I then left and went to the Hampton inn down the road. The receptionist and manager couldn’t be nicer and did everything in the power to calm me down. I am a Hilton diamond member and have never been treated so horribly.

Free Parking and plenty of parking if have RV or moving trucks. Rooms are clean, staff is really nice. Very comfortable. Very close to restaurants ,shopping, University, and access to interstate.

Don’t order before closing Horrible dining experience. Poor communication on staff part. Waited over an hour for a steak and baked potato. They didn’t give me any vegetables. I was expecting broccoli but no, nothing. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Just hungry at end of a hard day and the restaurant failed
