stayed here to do the Geotour I stayed here in December 2023 to do the Hattiesburg GeoTour (Geocaching). The employees were extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is nice but the indoor hot tub might need some work done on it (I could never get it to bubble like other hotel hot tubs do). The indoor swimming pool was nice.

DISAPPOINTED in HILTON The entrance was excellent. However, when I stepped into the elevator, it became immediately obvious that this hotel in undergoing renovations, with NO ALERRT NOR ROOM RATE REFLECTION I am appalled. I stepped off the elevator onto my floor and was shocked that the Hilton brand would allow customers to book without preparing them for what I saw. But had the NERVE to charge market rate for a constriction zone! I am thoroughly DISAPPOINTED.

Dirty floors and room not ready Went up to my room and the door was propped open and the fridge was pulled out. Also, the room had no phone—not that I use the hotel phone much but I was going to at least call the front desk instead of walking back down. Walked back down to the front desk and told him my room was not ready yet. He tells me that the room is ready but the maintenance man has to come back later this evening to do “somethings”. I said “the maintenance man is not coming back to my room tonight”. I didn’t tell him this but Im a female traveling alone and Im not allowing visits from maintenance men. So he just said ok, we wont send him back. At this point, I still don’t even know what is wrong with my room other than the fridge. I asked for a different room (one that was ready) and was told that they are sold out. I asked for a manager. He gets someone else and he tells me the same thing. I said, just because your sold out does not mean you give me a room thats not ready. Give it to someone else later after it IS READY. Well, he says their rooms have all been assigned already and the card reader is down but assures me that the room is clean and that he’ll send maintenance up asap. Got to the room and the floors are filthy. There’s also trash bags throughout the hallway. The maintenance man was nice and did came up right away. But being a Diamond member, I expect the room to at least be ready and clean before you send me to it.

Old, Dilapidated Disappointment This hotel was a huge disappointment when compared to the pics on your website. If I had known how old and dilapidated this property is, I absolutely wouldn’t have stayed here. My friend and I came up from the coast for a concert, and I was embarrassed to have brought her to this property. We didn’t even want to take showers Saturday morning before we left because the shower stall and door had mold and mildew on them, and the tiny, dark stall felt like a little prison cell. There was peeling wallpaper throughout the room, the AC unit was VERY loud, the curtains had at least one very noticeable cigarette burn, and the furniture in the living area of the suite was filthy. The lobby is lovely, but once you step off the elevator onto your floor, you know you’ve made a big mistake. Also, there was no mention in the booking process that the hotel is under renovation. These rooms should cost about $50 a night max, so people know the kind of property they’re booking.

This HGI has Issues Some issues: 1. Room service for dinner or breakfast - NO 2. Self serve breakfast instead of made to order. 3. Powdered eggs! REALLY? 4. Decaf coffee is not offered. 5. Bacon not offered 6. Room 404 had chocolate spots and a six inch tear in the shear curtain. 7. A one inch hole one bed's sheet. 8. One, of the two, mirrored sliding closet doors was missing. REALLY?
