Welcoming, clean, friendly. A stop over on the way to see Hoover Dam. Initially sceptical as it was a ‘motorway/truckers service stop’ but surprised us. Warm welcome, recommended place to eat, informative of the area. Clean and well presented room (2-queen bed), spacious layout for a family of 4. Pool was clean, towels and sun beds available, shallow throughout. Breakfast was as expected and the staff were evening welcoming and helpful in this buffet. Couldn’t do enough for you. Mattresses were comfy, air con worked perfectly. A really pleasant experience for a stop over.

OK stay in Henderson. When we checked in the staff seemed somewhat indifferent. I didn't get the room I had requested, but they said they were completely full. The room was decent sized and clean. The bed was big and comfortable. room lighting was good The room had a big TV, fridge, and microwave The AC worked well There were plenty of outlets for charging phones The bathroom was large and clean. Sleep quality was only average. It was kinda noisy with slamming doors and people above us making noise. We had to leave at 0500 so we didnt get to try the breakfast.

1 Night Staycation Stayed here on April 26, 2024 for 1 night in a 1 Queen Bed Suite for a total of $197.43. as this was just 1 night staycation, I must say I was extremely satisfied with my stay except for 1 employee who was extremely rude…. More on that later. Upon arriving I was quickly checked in handed a parking pass (free parking) and my room keys. I was put into room 126 which is a 1 Queen Bed Suite. The room was actually bigger than I expected more along the lines of an Embassy Suites. After getting settled in I made the walk over to the nearby Walmart to get some drinks/snacks for the night. Had dinner at the Pkwy Tavern Nextdoor and upon walking back in @ 10:30pm I asked the lady if I could get a late checkout and she was extremely rude saying “NO SOLD OUT” and she walked away I’m like wow. The next morning after the free breakfast I walked back up to the front desk to ask the gentleman working about a late checkout as I was hoping maybe the lady last night was going thru something but the gentleman informed me unfortunately we are sold out last night & tonight so he can only do the normal 11am checkout which I understood and told him about the lady last night and he said yeah she has an attitude I do apologize about that I said it’s all good I was just shocked how rude she was. All in all this Holiday Inn is decent, in a nice area with lots of shopping within walking/driving distance.

Ransacked The place is rundown but it is close to attractions in Henderson. My son who is (20) went to check in as he was ahead of me as we were driving from LA to Chicago and our first stop was Henderson. The front Desk clerk never took his ear buds out of his ear as he rudely told my son that he had to be 21 to check in. We have travelled all over the US, Mexico, Europe and beyond and we have never been refused a check in after 18 years old. He had to wait for me to arrive and when we got to our room, it looked ransacked. The pull out sofa was out, the coffee table turned over, the Keurig coffee thing was in it's side, the iron was laying on the floor, all the drawers were pulled out, the garbage containers were out of place and sitting on the floor, it was like whoever was cleaning the room stopped half way in between. The funniest part was went I went down to the front desk, I think it was Marq on duty. He was a good looking young black lad. Anyway, after I told him about the disarray in our room, he asked me if I needed any extra blankets. He briefly said "he was sorry and maybe the cleaning lady had to leave the room early" I have a feeling that young lad was messing with me, as I have never been in hotel room that looked that. The Keurig coffee maker was on it's side and all the parts were taken apart. I am good at putting stuff together but after moving my house and driving 5 hours, the last thing I wanted to do was put back together a Keurig coffee maker at some run down Holiday in Henderson. I will head down to the breakfast area and grab a coffee. Just a very odd start to my travels.
