Still great 27 years later! My first stay at a Hyatt property was this one 27 years ago, so it is always nice to come back as a Globalist! In 1999, severe thunderstorms caused a ground stop at Dulles leaving 4000 people to spend the night in the airport. The main terminal was chaotic as all the airlines sent the bags to the baggage claim level and piled them into huge mountains. We were all like zombies searching for our bags when a young airline employee, who could have been my twin ,pulled me aside and gave me the best travel advice I have ever had. He said, “ Hey man, if I were you, I would go get a hotel and come back tomorrow. The bags aren’t going to stay here, the airline will send them to where they are going.” I went out and hopped onto the first hotel shuttle bus that came by… Hyatt Regency Dulles. I got here, checked in and that king bed felt like heaven! I thought I hit the lottery as thousands slept in terminals. The next day, I eventually got home after some creative routing from the airline with multiple connections and someone delivered my luggage to my doorstep in Orange County, CA later the same day. Service goes up and down at most hotels over the years but Hyatt Regency Dulles has been consistent during my periodic stays here. This king bed still feels like heaven! Looking forward to the breakfast buffet, which is always top notch here! By the way, they still have airport shuttles._

Wonderful Excellent venue. Beautiful facility. Appears a bit dated from outside but interior shows really nice and contemporary. Cara at front desk at night is an exemplary employee and one heck of a representative for Hyatt. She is to be highly commended.

Good for overnight layover or early morning flight Good hotel for our overnight layover. Our room was huge with a king bed and a living room area. It was very comfortable. We had a very nice view of the airport, which is about a 10-15 min shuttle ride away. Shuttle was prompt. Make sure you have a reservation for the morning to get back to the airport. We tried to go to the restaurant but after waiting at the host stand for over 5 minutes to be seated (it wasn't busy, just understaffed) and another 15 once we were seated with no sign of any wait staff, we left and ordered Door Dash. We weren't the only ones as I saw 3-4 other delivery services while I waited in the lobby.

Good Experience, though this hotel no longer offers roll away beds Comfortable hotel option close to Dulles. Only complaint was that when I made my reservation (one month prior) I was able to check a box to request a roll away bed, however at check in I was told that they no longer offer roll aways. I checked the website and saw that as of my check in date, you could still request a roll away. This discrepancy between the website and hotel policy could really mess up someone's plans. Lucky for us a switch from a 1 King to a 2 Queen room was available. Hotel was quiet. Dinner and breakfast at the on site hotel was good, though service a little slow especially at dinner. It was nice to have a hotel close to the airport that allowed us to stay by Dulles and visit Udvar-Hazy prior to moving hotels closer to DC city center for the rest of our trip.

A+ Staff The staff here go above and beyond to meet guests' needs. They are hard working and truly care about the guest experience. The location is convenient near the airport with free shuttles leaving every 30 minutes. The room is comfortable with a lot of space.
