Best place on the West Portland Metro area! I have stayed here over a dozen separate sessions since late Spring! It is my favorite location on the West Portland Metro area. Close to Trimet public Transit, shopping, excellent restaurants, etc. it has full kitchens and staying several weeks is more competitive than other big chains. The staff is friendly and helpful 24x7.

DO NOT STAY HERE I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the lobby seemed fairly nice, but there was a persistent beeping sound that continued throughout the day. We later found out it was the fire alert system. Check-in was smooth, but everything went downhill from there. The hallway was creepy, but luckily we were on the first floor. When we entered our room, it was immediately clear that it was filthy. The floors were dirty with dirt and hair everywhere. The bed had clumps of black curly hair, and we even found the same hair on the towels. It was absolutely disgusting. Additionally, the room had a fishy smell, which is often associated with mold and mildew. To make matters worse, the bathroom vent was covered in black mold. Our parents also stayed in the same hotel, and their experience was just as bad. Their room was at least 90 degrees because both of their AC units were broken. The front desk told them they couldn’t move rooms without charging a fee, which is insane given the circumstances. Eventually, they replaced the unit while we were out, without informing us they would be entering their room. Then came the worst part of our stay. At 11:30 PM, the fire alarm went off. It was a loud, screaming alarm with flashing lights. We have three small children who were asleep, and the alarm terrified them. We had to evacuate, and it turned out the alarm was due to the hotel’s lack of maintenance. The beeping we heard earlier was a warning that something was wrong with the fire system. This chaos lasted for about an hour, and the firefighters who responded mentioned the system was behind on maintenance and could go off again. We later learned that this fire alarm issue has apparently happened multiple times before. Sure enough, at 8 AM the next morning, the alarm went off again, waking our kids and causing more panic. This hotel genuinely ruined our entire vacation. The rooms were deplorable, and while the front desk staff were amazing and did what they could, the manager was unhelpful and shut down any customer service requests. Adding to the irony, the hotel proudly displays a “Stay Confident” sheet outlining a 10-point room cleaning process. Our experience did not align with this at all. The rooms were far from clean and hygienic, making this claim almost laughable. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this hotel. I would strongly advise anyone to stay away.

Nicer than my former apartment in some ways; not so great in others. I moved into this hotel as temporary living space to be close to medical resources. I chose this location as they have an elevator, on-site laundry, dishwashers in the room, a mini gym and a few rooms with a walk-in shower. The ADA rooms were all booked even though I was able to book it online. So I never got the room with the walk-in shower. Due to surgical delays, my stay went from 3 to 6+ months. The rooms are comfortable. The hide-a-bed mattress was in dire need of replacement. The bed itself was very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. The front desk will provide cookware, dishes, toasters and coffee makers. It's what you would expect, aluminum pans, etc. I brought my own. It is a no smoking property, but much like my former apartment up the street, the smokers do not follow the rules. They smoke literally one step away from the entry doors and sometimes they don't even bother to go outside. There is a new manager in place who seems to be cracking down on that. As with any residential hotel, there are a variety of people staying here. Some are long term residents, hi-tech worker new hires, construction crews and your price conscious travelers. Unfortunately, some of the long term residents have been the source of many police and emergency visits. Mental meltdowns in the parking lot, and other disturbing behaviors are on display on the daily. As a former hospitality worker/manager I have some observations about this hotel. They seem to be running on a skeleton crew. There is only one maintenance guy and there is more than he can possibly do on his own. Too often, there is no one present at the front desk. I consider this a security issue. They are responsible for cleaning the elevator and lobby, and they are responsible for doing all the guest laundry. They also are called to inspect rooms after housekeeping cleans them. There are two broken windows that have needed repair for more than two weeks. There are holes in the hallway walls that need repair. There is a staff member openly dating a long term resident. I was told it was management approved. Experience, sets off some red flags for me. Pet friendly - ok, but there have never been dog waste bags in the dispenser. And there is no garbage can near that entrance. I purchase my own, but I know a lot of the short stay people are not that prepared. I find the cigarette butts, fast food and drug garbage around the property a bigger problem than pet waste. The on-site laundry is a joke! Many of the washers are out of order, and on the 2nd floor, there is only one dryer that will dry a load of laundry in one round. But, it will not work again until it cools down. The card readers often don't work. I was over charged and was told I had to contact the separate vendor who owns the laundry equipment. They were not helpful. It cost me $21 and 3.5 hours to do two loads of laundry. Needless to say, I found a local laundromat. Overall, my stay has been pleasant enough and fairly non-eventful. Mostly because I stay to myself. I am polite but don't want to be sucked into any of the local drama. There are prostitutes and drug dealers on the property. I know this is true at any hotel - even the super expensive ones. But, it's pretty blatant and has caused me to alter my dog walking to the well-lit front of the hotel. I wish the new manager all the best. I hope she can turn things around, hire some help for the maintenance guy, and I hope they reconsider how thin the resources of the front desk crew is stretched and hire a laundry attendant.

Awful hotel!! This hotel is awful!! The room was in major disrepair and dirty. The door jammed when being opened, no chairs in our room, broken heater, iron but no ironing board, and the curtains falling down. That is only naming a few of the problems!! The worst part - the whole place smelled awful, including our room, and this was not helped by trash being left in the hallways for literally days!! Only one elevator at the front of the hotel - we don’t mind taking the stairs at all but the stairwells were filthy, they stunk badly (more trash left in stairwell!) and sketchy looking residents hung around the doors smoking and putting their cigarette butts all over the ground, as well as their trash! One evening we came back to multiple law enforcement agencies surrounding the place. Someone at the hotel told us it is a regular occurrence there!! _ We gave the front desk a page long list of things that were wrong with our room as well as the premises. We hope management does something about it. We read some of the other reviews and there is NO WAY those are true!! We checked out early and will never return.

Horrible place to stay The place was filthy. It smelled like cigarette smoke. Everything looked run down. The linens/towels were thin. The recliner didn't work. I had to fix the burner on the stovetop to make dinner. The "grab n go" breakfast was a joke. I didn't appreciate having to go and get bare minimum dishes from the front desk when other places I have stayed had a fully stocked kitchen including toaster and cutting board. People doing drugs in the parking lot. I didn't feel safe enough to take our dogs out to go potty (even though one was a German shepherd) so my husband had to. The carpets were stained. The bathroom was dirty and the back of the door looked like it has never seen a cleaning rag ever. There was who knows what on the back side of the curtains. I can go on but I think you get the point. I can't believe I spent so much money for what I got for it. I will NEVER stay with extended stay again.
