Clean rooms & helpful staff We were in Houston for the Astros/Yankees game. I purchased my husband a pregame tour of Minute Maid Park. It began at 3 P.M. which was the same time as check-in. This hotel allowed an early check-in at no extra cost which gave us time to drop off luggage and freshen up. The valet attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. We parked the truck and walked to the ball park that afternoon. Afterwards, we caught a Lyft back. It was around 11 P.M. We were approached by two individuals asking us for money before we could get into the hotel. There were many people milling about outside. The hotel is locked at night. You must use your room key to get inside. We didn't know this so it took a moment to find the key. Our room was clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was small but clean. They did not offer bottled water or snacks as I'm accustomed at Hilton Honors. There was also no breakfast whatsoever, and the restaurant was closed due to Covid. I wish we had known this before returning to the hotel. I would likely stay here again, but I would check with one of the hotels closer to the ball park first. We typically stay at Embassy Suites, Hampton, or Hilton. Their rooms were running $400 per night. This hotel was $129 for military rate. Overall, it was a good value.

Better then expected. My company (Train company) put me up her for an overnight layover. I have to say the hotel is very nice. It’s in the heart of downtown with all it has to offer. There’s a burger place in the hotel that will open soon. Across the street is Your Pie Pizza. Fresh pizzas made right in front of you. This section is for cigar/cigarette smokers; on the 2nd floor there’s a HUGE patio/terrace that’ll hold 60ppl if need be. Several sectionals to relax and smoke your stick. There’s a place literally around the corner from the pizza place cooked Posh liquor that has numerous sticks for sale. My only interaction with hotel staff was a gentleman name Davine, very helpful & courteous with what to do in area and what see. This hotel is very spacious and relaxing within the heart of downtown. Parking $10 a night so take that into consideration.

Amazing service For starters I was met by Travis at the front desk who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming which is a nice change from the norm. After a long day of travel I ventured into Burger Theory, the local restaurant within the holiday inn. Nancy and Kelly were absolutely amazing Bartenders. Friendly, pleasant and most importantly attentive to what myself and the other patrons needed. Highly recommended Holiday inn Houston downtown.

Felt upscale! I booked the wrong location, and the front desk helped us fix my mistake. The hotel was very attractive, with nice amenities. I loved the restaurant in the hotel- Burger Theory. Really good food, atmosphere, and service. So convenient, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Nice gym, terrace, lobby, and valet parking, with shuttles to the Toyota Center. Room was updated and modern. I enjoyed the view. The look and feel of the hotel felt much more upscale than the price would suggest.A front desk clerk, Divyne, was especially helpful with our stay. Heidi was wonderful, as well. Felt like a luxury stay!
