Creepy holiday inn express Houston texas I think this hotel is in financial problems . - NO BREAKFAST , permanently no breakfast - my room direct TV would not connect , even after restarting TV on direct TV program . It would not connect and could be because they don't pay the bill. - lobby is stark and hotel desk help is not much help . - hotel feels creepy. There's another holiday inn express down the road in Sugarland Texas. I sure hope that one is better as this location holiday inn express sucks . It's not like any other holiday inn express I've ever stayed at before , all have been nice up until this creepy one. Oh, the desk clerk is behind plexiglass, not just a little , encased with drilled holes in plexiglass for speaking . Elevators are dirty and give me the creepy feeling just like the lobby and checking in . I'd avoid this one.

Not my choice! Awful compared to other IHG properties! This hotel is not up to Holiday Inn Express standards. The ac was falling off the wall. The ceiling was peeling in the bathroom. I was so disappointed in this room. Needs work. Workers were absent from the front desk and acted like I was bothering them to check-in.

Worst hotel ever. Rude employee with a bad attitude! He works the Night Shift. I work at hotels I know how things go! This dude obviously doesn’t like his job and needs to seek something different instead of dealing with the public. But I do want to thank him for not giving me my room as I looked at all the reviews and see it’s nothing but a sh!t show and rude people.

Biggest Bummer in a Long Time. DON"T Stay Here! This is close to the worst review I have ever written. It’s hard to know where to start. You may notice that at the top of this listing it speaks of "newly renovated." REALLY? Done by your DIY brother-in-law? There are only three possible reasons to stay at this Holiday Inn. The price, it is in close proximity to where you need to be and it is quieter than the Comfort Inn up the street. Where to start? Well, let’s start with the torn and tattered American flag flying out front of the hotel which looks like a relic from the battle of the Alamo. Attached is a picture. Holiday Inn is a good American Company isn’t it? Holiday Inn is Atlanta based, but its parent IHG is British. Maybe that’s why the disrespectful handling of this symbol. Or maybe it has to do with the franchisee. The care which has been taken with this flag is somewhat indicative of the whole facility. Moving along, we checked in and finally settled on a room on the third try. The first room smelled heavily smoky and even heavier of the deodorizer used to eliminate the smoke. I opened the door and the smell hit me. Didn’t even go in. The second room had a similar problem, but slightly less. The third room on the first floor was acceptable. The room had a very high humidity and the hallways were very humid and almost without air conditioning. The best thing to say about the room was the floors were clean. I’ve attached a number of photos. The room issues included bedding which was torn (not as badly as the flag though), toilet seat very loose, arm chair so dirty you wouldn’t want to sit in it, funky extrusion from the electrical plug in the bathroom, and maid service only on the fifth day of a stay. Initially, we had to ask the desk for hand towels, wash clothes and cups. Subsequently, we went to the desk each day to get clean towels. The door keys had to be rekeyed each night when we came in. No continuity here. On the first night of our return there were people covered in blankets and sleeping in the lobby. As you may have guessed by now, this is not a place you really want to stay unless there is an overriding reason – cost or proximity.
