Not Great, Will Not Return Not great. Fairly bare bones for a Hilton. At Hilton prices. Check in took FOREVER for everyone. One computer went down. Then the computer to buy anything from the store went down. No real amenities in room, not even a cleaning bag. Furniture is banged up, room is dark, nightstand light is OLD and flickered off and on all night. Room service is in a brown bag with plastic silverware. At room service prices. Also hotel is “cashless” and could not even break a $20 for me to tip the shuttle for a 2 minute trip. Typical airport hotel I guess. It’s like they are just doing the bare minimum to stay a Hilton.

Don’t spend the night here. Summary: Awful stay and will not stay here again even with the convenience of the airport. The digital check-in didn't work so I had to go to the front desk. The representative at the front desk was kind enough and gave us physical keycards to our room and two complimentary bottles of water. The room was really not well kept. The floor was wet with a puddle of water when we first walked in, it had two bottles of shower gel and one conditioner for my family to use (but the shampoo was missing?), the vent in the shower was moldy and didn't work at all and we all didn't sleep as the A/C unit sounded like a lawn mower starting up ALL NIGHT when the air conditioning attempted to kick on but it never fell below 74 in the room. Upon check out at 4:45am to catch the airport shuttle, the graveyard shift clerk attempted to check us out and couldn't find our reservation. She then complained about the afternoon representative that did in fact check us in saying she "did it all wrong" and "this will be her 3rd write up about this." We almost missed her shuttle as she commiserated her unhappiness about working at this property (Hilton Irvine/OC Airport) which we found to be very unprofessional. We will not be staying her again and urge folks to also reconsider their accommodations to something more comfortable and updated.

Nightmare at the Hilton Irvine at Orange County Airport Horrible Experience I arrived the evening of February 8th. I had stayed there before so I knew my way around and had even checked in digitally, selecting my room (King bed) on the top floor. My digital key did not work, nor did it ever for that room, so I went down to the front desk to get that fixed, but they just gave me a hard card as they could not log in to the system to fix it. When i tried to enter the parking lot and side door, digital key did not not work for those as well so I used the card. That night I found I had almost no shower pressure. When I contacted the front desk, they said work was going on that night and it should be fixed the next day. I used a wash cloth to bathe. The next morning I complained again as there was still no water pressure and they said they would check it. During the day I called to remind them. Friday evening, still no water pressure. The front desk said they would change rooms to two double beds on the 3rd floor. The Digital key worked. But still not to park or enter the side door. And now the hard card did nor work so I had to enter through the front and call security each time to let me in and out of the parking area. I never knew throughout the rest of my say through Sunday if I would be able to get into the parking lot (@$45/night btw) or the side door from the parking lot, or my room. The front desk seemed helpless to fix this, just kept issuing me new cards that mostly did not work. This was not a pleasant stay, and pay net 300/night was not worth it. And BTW, I was not asked for feedback when I checked out. That's why I'm writing this review. And I'm an Honors member??

Bad customer service When I checked in I read the policies that were printed on a sheet at the desk. It said you had to request room cleaning, which I did. The next day at 1PM the room had not been cleaned so I called "guest services" and was told that it was too late to request room cleaning. I told them I had requested it at 10AM the day before. Apparently the person checking me in forgot to enter it. Instead of appologizing and sending someone to clean the room, they said "too late" we can't clean the room. So they sent a guy with 2 towels and told me to put all my used towels in the hallway so they could pick them up, Not acceptable!

Bring Your Credit Card After being a loyal Hilton Honors member for over 15 years, my stay at Hilton Irvine has convinced me to switch to Bonvoy (Marriott). I stayed there one night to attend a seminar the following day. After a long drive, I opted for room service as opposed to going downstairs. My meal arrived in a PAPER BAG. The food was in a carboard take-out box and plastic utensils were included. This was not a Hampton or Garden Inn... this was a HILTON. After the next day's seminar, I went to the ATM in the lobby to get cash to tip the valet. There was a line at the front desk so I went to the bar to break a $20 bill. Guess what? They are CASHLESS and could not make change. Figuring the front desk would surely at least have some petty cash I waited in the line to get singles. Guess what?? The entire hotel is cashless!! Who ever heard of such a thing? Thankfully the valet could make change or he would not have gotten a tip from me. Poor guy, I'm sure he gets cheated out of tips on a regular basis. If you are planning a stay at Hilton Irvine make sure you have a credit card. And don't order room service.
