Well, nice and cheap. No security at night, the room needs more cleaning. Very nice and I think the price is very good, the bathroom only had warm and hot water. The pool is very nice and the whole area of the hotel is very nice, but I think the maintenance is somewhat neglected.

Great Location But They Missed The Mark We noticed the mini fridge in the room wasn't cooling properly, our food spoiled overnight. Called front desk, they sent a tech to fix or replace. Never heard back but saw the tech go to the room. Fridge still didn't function properly and was unusable for our stay. Very disappointing since we were there 3 days. Housekeeping didn't replace coffee for our Keurig day 2 or 3. No beach towels available. When we asked a staff member for them, he sent us in the wrong direction. Never found them. And when we checked in, we were never told there was an elevator, so we had to make 3 trips up 3 floors with bags, food, etc. Room was hard to find at night when we arrived as buildings were not labeled from parking area as to room locations. (No directional signing). Location was good, overall condition of the hotel I would describe as tired. Needs upkeep, paint, safety anti slip tape on steps was worn or missing, a light fixture on exterior of building was hanging from it's power cord. Room price for non view was close to $400 per night. At this price I would expect better condition. Would not recommend.

Good, but needs something to justify cost. After having an unpleasant experience 3 years ago over an "Ocean Front" reservation that resulted in us not staying there, We thought we would try again. This time I contacted Customer Service to ensure we would have an "Ocean Front" room. They graciously upgraded our room. When we arrived at Pelican Cove, in the pouring rain, we learned that there was no check-in/lobby and we would have to check in at Postcard Inn, just down the street. At Postcard Inn we were checked in by a very courteous woman named Sherri. Unfortunately that was the last good experience we had with the Postcard staff, everything else was unsatisfactory. After we settled in at Pelican Cove we enjoyed our time there. The only negatives were the glue marks from labels on all the sliding doors, which was very disconcerting, and the Certificate of Operation in the elevator had expired over a year ago. Not having their own Lobby is definitely not a good thing, the phone in the room did not connect with anyone.

No Value for Money This hotel sadly fell very short. We had high hopes after reading previous positive reviews however since booking I noticed more and more negative experiences being reported by guests. It would be very helpful if staff notified you ahead of time that there is no Lobby in Pelican Cove Resort and that check in is at Postcard Inn next door. The rooms have been poorly renovated and an old thin adjoining door, that has been badly painted over, separated us from the room next door. The light from next door shone under the gap and we could clearly hear coughing and talking from the guests all night. The air conditioning turns on and off very loudly all night and made it sound like we were inside an industrial fan. Although the bed was pretty comfortable sleep was impossible due to all the noise. The balcony light had no switch to turn it off so light shone in and to cap it off the alarm clock had been set and went off loudly at 4 am. I'm sure this would have also woken the guests next door as a wafer thin door separates the rooms. The pictures make this place look like a relaxing and polished beach resort. Unfortunately that was not our experience. The amenities are clearly old and although they may have had a coat of paint and new curtains it hasn't been enough to deliver the quality advertised. Black mold grows on the ceilings of restrooms near the bar and in the bottom of the shower tiles. Hopefully management can make some changes to make this stay more enjoyable for future guests. We definitely didn't feel there was value for money.

Worst experience Sorry, we came here … first night we couldn’t sleep because of the noise the air conditioning was making. The following day at 7 AM, some guy was working on the beach… his truck was driving the backup noise… I mean, I get it they have to work, but Saturday? At 7 AM? We were on vacation. It's not worth the money we paid. Of course, they changed the room for us, but we had a problem with the air conditioning not cooling it. The technician came and left, and all he did was pull out the drapes so the sun won't go in there. At night the toilet was making a weird noise every 5 minutes. WORST EXPERIENCE! Rooms are old and need updates. No air and mold smell.
