Its so sad This place was a paradise, we use to come here for many years as a family and enjoyed it very much. Today the service is terrible, the rooms are in ruins, the beach is full of noise and garbage. They had been cutting a lot of trees and they dont respect the environment. Its so sad to see this beautiful place in such bad conditions. The food is terrible too. I do want to remark that the employees that have been working here for 30 years keep on being super nice and helpful I want to give my recognition to them Don Sergio, Don Margarito, Don Roberto…

Las Brisas Ixtapa The architecture of the hotel is impresive, but the service could be a lot better. for esample stading for 1 hout to do checking with not A/C and is 90 degrees is no fun at all, also the "a/c" of the rooms does not work you can move the temperature all you want is does not change. The food is good and the personal needs to be more attentive and nicer I think they need more personal they seem tired.

All-inclusive plan enabled imbibing and overeating... We are blessed to have traveled extensively worldwide but had never booked an all-inclusive stay package. News articles on the numerous deaths from contamination at all-inclusive Mexican resorts gave us pause. However, based upon assurances from the party with whom we were traveling, we opted for the hotel's Brisas Plan. It turned out to be a decent choice. The positives far outweighed the negatives of the Plan, but the Las Brisas Ixtapa was itself a fun property. We enjoyed our spacious Junior Suite with terrace whirlpool and sun deck with ocean view. Although the pressure to continuously imbibe and overeat was not helpful, we unfortunately got more than our money's worth. As an aside, there were several instances where the language barrier was a minor issue. One night we made reservations at one of their specialty restaurants with a special desk designated for that purpose. We arrived for dinner and had no reservation. Although fully booked, they agreed to seat us, but we later learned that the "special desk" had not understood and made the reservation for the wrong night. Also, the hotel needs to employ someone who actually can translate their signage properly. The sign at the Restaurant Bellavista for breakfast read, "Dear Guest, Allow us to assign a table Previously." We thought that we needed to have previous reservations, but they only meant to wait to be seated! Although any tips were supposedly included in our all-inclusive plan, it did not deter the food servers and bar tenders throughout the property from hanging out for extras. The sole exception was our maid who was delightful and helpful. We actually chose to give her a nice gratuity upon departure. The birds being allowed to freely fly into and around the dining venues was both annoying and, in our opinion, unhealthy. Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo was located a mere four-hour drive from Acapulco, one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico. However, we were just on high alert whenever we left the hotel resort for short tours, went out during daylight hours and only walked around in touristy, high-trafficked areas. We otherwise felt safe and definitely enjoyed our stay at Las Brisas Ixtapa. We look forward to returning again...perhaps annually.

Nice but…. We have stayed many times in Z area before but this was a first time for Brisas. Let me say that during our 1 week stay, we only saw 1 other American couple. Everyone else were Mexican families. Nothing wrong with this and everyone was great, but just so you know. The staff usually spoke enough good English that we could get our point across but we did have problems at times. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were dated and old. The pool had tile missing, etc. but it was nice and cool, refreshing water. The beach chairs were old and worn but plentiful. The main buffet was great (Bellavista) as was the beach bar and snack bar. The italian/Mediterranean restaurant was very good. everyone said the Mexican one wqsnt very good so we did not go to it. the rooms were ok qnd the ac just barely kept it cool enough. the lobby bar is beautiful and overlooks the ocean and great sunsets with great breezes. the private beach is nice but big waves. great sand. overall we enjoyed the stay bit probably would go back to our regular spots in La Ropa next time.
