Fit our needs well This place was what we needed! The king bedroom, bedroom with two full beds, and kitchen were a must for us. One more bathroom would have been awesome, but we made do :) As mentioned in other reviews, it wasn’t well cleaned inside or in the commons areas and stairs outside. The location was fantastic for us - centrally located and right across from the beach. It was right on a bike trail at the beach and a bike trail leading to the Jekyll Island Club area where I was presenting at and attending a conference. I want to give some kudos to the employees there. They are obviously wearing many hats and busting their tails to provide people with what they need. We sure appreciated their swift attention to us and our needs!

Worst experience ever. My family and I were excited to arrive in Jekyll and get settled in. We booked two rooms and were due to check in at 4, but the rooms were not ready until 5:30 so we were stuck trying to find something to do with young children at the last minute. Fine, it happens, we were understanding... When we see our room however, it is FILTHY. There is pee all around the toilet, makeup on the bathroom counter, brown liquid dripping down the kitchen wall, tobacco/cigar guts covering the trashcan, and the beds were covered in all types of hair short and long, spots that were clearly dirty rather than just stained, and even a dead bug under the comforter. This is literally just for starters. The floors had not been mopped or the carpets vacuumed. Literally everything was disgusting. We had housekeeping come back (and even she agreed it was bad) but she only made a few slight improvements which hardly solved anything and left me wiping down the room myself with the only supplies I had on hand. My husband then went out for wipes and sprays that evening and we lost a night trying to make the room livable. This establishment was unsanitary, unaccommodating, and unprofessional in their response, making the entire stay uncomfortable. I will be reporting this business to the BBB and GHLA in hopes that they will have higher standards in the future. Do not book here. End of story. Good Job Friendly staff, very comfortable accommodations! I enjoyed every minute of my stay. It was close to all events and of course the beach! I will be returning with my family as soon as I get the chance..

Bring your own cleaning supplies The pictures are VERY misleading. Our room which was the one king and double queen suite was disgusting. The floor, bedding, entire room was unfit to stay in. At $550 for a weekend I expect better conditions for an "upscale" hotel. Will not be returning.

Disappointed I booked this hotel as an ascend collection. Looking at the pictures it looked very nice. I couldn’t wait for the weekend to spend the night in a “luxury hotel”. I reserved a two bedroom suit, one room had a king size bed, the other two queens. We check in and go to our room and I was crushed. Not only was there only 1 BATHROOM, it was so tiny. The description said it sleeps “8”. Are you kidding me? Eight people would not be able to move in this tiny place. Did I mention 1 BATHROOM. How would you share 1 BATHROOM with eight people? It was difficult to share with four. We sat at the bar (no table, there was no room for a table), to play cards we only had three chairs. When we decided to eat we had two spoons and three forks. Did I mention 1 BATHROOM. I have stayed at many choice hotels. This one does not deserve to be in the “ascend” collection. It should be down there with clarion or quality. It wouldn’t even qualify for a Comfort Inn. I can’t figure out how it got a 4.1 rating. I know better but I didn’t read the reviews, I will next time.
