Great renovations I have been here a handful of times in the last 4 years. Last time, I was concerned at the poor state and disrepair of the hotel. But it has now been renovated. it looks fresh and modern, clean. Except for the safe and phone that due to age, once were white and now are an off yellow. The pool was out of order. There is no gym. Breakfast is basic. Although close to the highway, noise is not an issue. Not as nice as the holiday inn across the street, but for this stay it was acceptable.

Poor Customer Service and room occupancy management We had a room booked due to staying for an event. I received a phone call from the hotel at 8:30pm the night of my stay telling me they had to cancel my reservation due to overbooking. When I explained that I made my reservation a couple weeks ago and asked how they can overbook when I had a reservation he had no answers. He could only apologize. I explained that I needed that room and have no where to stay now. He apologized and offered me a refund. Well I would hope so since I am no longer able to stay there!!!! So basically I had to scramble to find a place to stay when most hotels are booked and paid almost triple of what my stay was supposed to be. Very disappointed in Fairfield and Marriott!

Worst Fairfield ever Worst Fairfield ever. I stayed for 3 nights in October 2023. Good things first: bed was comfortable, location was good. But when I tried to take a shower the first morning the water pressure was so low it dribbled out of the shower head and even turned all the way to all hot water it was barely room temperature. I went down to the front desk and they said the engineer would be there in 20 minutes. I had an appointment so I had to just wash up with a room temperature washcloth. Second morning there was water pressure but still barely room temperature water. So I just took a very fast shower while shivering. I was thinking about changing hotels but I thought I could get through 1 more mediocre shower the next day and then my trip was over. But they saved the worst for last. For my third morning shower there was ABSOLUTELY NO HOT OR EVEN WARM WATER. It was absolutely cold as ice. I tried to call down to the front desk with my room phone but it didn't work. No dial tone, nothing. I had to use my own phone. They said the hotel had hot water heater problems (no kidding!!) that affected some of the rooms. I asked if they had any other room that I could use for a shower and he said no. They were fully booked. So they knowingly rented me a room for 3 nights knowing I wouldn't be able to take a simple hot shower. He offered me a discount of $30 or 1500 Marriott points. I guess they put a value of a hot shower at $10 per day. Unbelievable. I have been a Marriott fan for a long time mostly because I know there will be a decent bed and a decent shower. Marriott should be ashamed of itself for putting their name on this hotel. I have had better experiences in cheap mom and pop motels. I will never ever stay at this Fairfield again.Worst Fairfield ever. I stayed for 3 nights in October 2023. Good things first: bed was comfortable, location was good. Watch for False Advertising The rooms were clean and fine, and the breakfast was good and ready on time, but their amenities are listed incorrectly. We specifically chose this hotel because they listed both a pullout couch and a rollaway bed as amenities. Neither were actual options. When we booked the room we communicated a request for a rollaway bed and the app said it would be available so we selected that option. However, the the day of our arrival, they told us they don’t have them at all, nor would there be a pullout couch. Not sure what else in their amenities list is false but you should definitely triple check they actually have what they say they have before you stay there. They then offered us a second room at 20% off, which seemed a little insulting to then have to pay $100 for an additional room at a low discount when they were the ones who provided false advertising. The hotel itself was fine, but they were deceptive in their booking process.

Ridiculous Awful Experience. The desk clerk told me she had no record of my pre-paid reservation, and that was that. I showed her the confirmed reservation info from my cellphone, but she said there was nothing she could do so I got on my phone and called the Marriott reservation desk. She told me to hang up and she would re-build the reservation on her computer. It was a very lengthy process, but eventually I got my room. I’m still not clear what the desk clerk (Ashley) expected the customer (me) to do…just walk away from a pre-paid reservation? She made no effort to solve the problem until I got on the phone with Marriott. BUT THERE’S MORE, 3 hours later, she called my room demanding that I come to the front desk because she thought my credit card was invalid. Turns out, she had simply entered it incorrectly. She never apologized. In fact, I’ve never been treated more rudely in 30 years of business travel. Her attitude and behavior was truly offensive. After this experience, my very average room was a let down. I’ll post a photo of the piles of junk at the hotel entry.
