Comfort Suites Kansas City - Liberty

Very Dirty, hair on towels/wash cloths/Refused to refund money Scammed us out of money. We got the the room and it was very dirty and worn out looking. I looked at towels and they had long black pubic hairs on them! Brought this to front desk, and they refused to refund our money, even though I had swiped my card at the desk for two nights stay. I refused to stay here. There was no manager at this location, and Choice Hotels are based out of India. They were difficult to understand and do not understand that you cannot charge someone for a stay they did not use. Terrible experience. We will never stay at a Choice Hotel again!

Management not customer friendly! I cannot recommend this place, management is non-responsive. We accidently left two sweatshirts in the room and immediately called the hotel. "Michelle" confirmed she had them, put a note on them for UPS to come pick them up on my UPS account. I called every day to follow up but Michelle wasn't there and the people that I spoke to knew nothing about what I was talking about. Left several messages for the manager, no call back. A week later, I get Michelle and she admits they were thrown out. I asked for compensation, $35 x 2; she checks with management, they offer $40. What choice did I have but to accept? Of course the check never came. great,

Needs to be updated and cleaned Location was okay for last minute short stay, hotel interior is outdated and needs a good cleaning. Bathroom floor corners were dirty and door didn't lock. Tub had been repaired, looked stained. Bed was comfortable, AC/heat worked well. Carpet needed cleaning. Room had a microwave and refrigerator. Pool area did not look clean, water was cloudy.

Mold, Mold and more Mold Unfortunately, we had to book a hotel last minute because of a death in the family. This hotel appeared to be our best option since our regular hotels where we normally stay were booked. Once we checked in, we found black mold in the bathroom and near the AC unit. We reported it to the front desk and they offered us a different room. Because we were making funeral arrangements, we had a full day and weren’t able to change rooms until the evening. When we tried, the front desk told us we could not because the hotel was full. We tried again the next day to change rooms at midday, but were told we could not because the housekeeping staff leaves at 1 pm. We tried again the next morning and were given a room with mold around the AC unit, at which point we decided to check out. The front desk had to contact the manager to discuss a refund for the remainder of our reservation. At first the manager told me that he could not refund the amount because we had booked an extended rate. He offered me yet another room, but I declined since I didn’t think things would be any better in another room. I indicated that I was willing to pay the going rate for the three nights we had stayed to which the manager agreed. At no point did the manager apologize for the room conditions or offer me any consolation. He only seemed to want his money. While I did receive a refund, I was also charged an early checkout fee. Word to the wise, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The rest of the stay was uneventful, but overshadowed by the deplorable guest room conditions.

Clean and comfortable Staff is extremely friendly, rooms were very clean and comfortable. They did all they can to accommodate my issues and was very kind about it. Breakfast area is very clean and their hot breakfast is good. We were there for worlds of fun theme park and stayed for 2 days. It’s only 10 mins drive to the park. They replaced our towels and that’s me not having to ask. Usually we try to keep cost down for them by reusing but with teens it’s hard to.. thank you so much!
