Sonesta Select Kansas City Airport Tiffany Springs

Good for an overnight stay Good location near the airport which was perfect for us to catch an early morning flight. Everything was clean, comfortable, and nice. On top of all that the front desk staff was very nice, which always helps to make a stay more pleasant.

annoying parking charge This hotel is obnoxious in charging $5 a night for parking. I can understand urban hotels charging a parking fee where their lots have limited space and where guests have a realistic choice to arrive by mass transit. But this place is in the middle of nowhere, with a large lot and no good public transport option. So there is no justified excuse for the parking charge - it is just a sneaky way to collect more money.

Stay away from this chaos! Don’t stay here! We reserved a room weeks in advance and arrived at 2 am tired with 3 kids after traveling 12 hours only to discover the hotel gave the room to someone else! We had even called to let them know of our late arrival and ask for the shuttle, which we waited an extra 30 minutes for. They shuttled us to another hotel which they told us they transferred us to, only to learn it was booked as well!! At 3 am we are are still going back and and forth looking for a hotel room; ridiculous! Stay away! An employee told me this happens all the time!!

Fantastic for an early morning or late day trip out of the airport. This amazing hotel was perfect for our layover both before and after our trip out of MCI. Very few hotels offer 24 hour shuttle and this one was both affordable and comfortable. It is a revamped older hotel, which is beautiful inside and out. Outstanding clean room.

Better Than Expected--MUCH Better! Having never stayed at one of these Sonesta hotels before, all I can say is, "Wow". I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this location. Just to the south of MCI and immediately off the highway exit, it's super-easy to get into and out of. Check-in was effortless. I had a room on the ground floor, which always makes for easy access, but can also be noisy, and there was a slider door that opened to the parking lot which can (being in s strange city) sometimes raise safety concerns. None of this was even close to being an issue. My room was quite adequately sized, spotlessly clean, and with most all of the furnishings looking like new. Everything was in proper working order, it was so quiet, you could almost hear a pin drop--and the slider door had a security bar across the stationary glass. I didn't eat there, nor ask anything of the front desk after I arrived, so I cannot comment on the staff beyond a very pleasant person at the front desk when I checked in. Housekeeping is upon request only, which suited me just fine. There were plenty of towels to last for my 3 nights stay, and enough restaurants and stores within a few minute's drive to manage food options. If your visit to KC doesn't require staying downtown (which can be very pricey, but is only about 20 mins from this location), and you have a car (a necessity), I would highly recommend this Sonesta. I had an absolutely great experience and would not hesitate to stay there again.
